MARACAS ST.JOSEPH WATERFALL | TALLEST WATERFALL IN TRINIDAD!!!!

WHAT IS UP MY FRIENDS WE ARE BACK WITH ANOTHER HIKINGVIDEO!! Today we ventured into the forest of Maracas St. Joseph to the tallest waterfall in Trinidad. We used waze as our navigation to find the road leading us to the falls. Super easy to find with waze and guys please be safe on this trail as rocks can be very slippery. Our first hike back out felt amazing! although there wasn't a pool to bathe in the waters was so refreshing. As always guys, STAY SAFE AND STAY ADVENTUROUS!!!

So the area you asked about used to be a parking area you could drive up to and then walk the rest. There used to be sheds where the tables and benches were like a picnic area and a changing room, that was when it now started. But due to vandalism it is no more. On top of the waterfall if you are wondering is a massive black pool that comes out of the mountain itself. There is another area you guys missed that branches off to the right side of the long upwards walk that leads you on top of a miniature waterfall with a basin pool and a small cascade... I'm from Maracas so I know lol.

There is more to this waterfall, you could go to the top, or around on the other side. It's a great place to visit. Good job👍

@@adventureswithloviematt the access trail is from by the WASA pump booth on your right. But I think you might need a guide. So the last house on your left, it's blue. The guy who lives there can take you guys. It's a challenging trail.

OMG! I remember hiking up to Maracus Falls every year back in the day. Those concrete tables were picnic tables. We used spend the day and to cook up there, or bring a dish and share. It's a pity they didn't continue with the upkeep. It's more amazing than I remembered. Thanks for sharing!

I haven't been to Maracas Waterfall in a few years, was one of my best experiences. But there is a side trail that takes you to a few basins don't know if the trails still exists.

it exists! our mission was to only hit the 300ft waterfall. Next time the river and basins can be a thing to check out :)
