The world largely ignored Eritrea’s struggle for independence, which began in 1961 and lasted for 30 years, culminating in freedom in 1991. During those years, there was no internet, no journalists, and no global audience to witness the immense sacrifices and resilience of the Eritrean people. Their bravery and determination went unseen by the world. Today, with the internet and media everywhere, the world has the tools to see what is happening in Palestine, like Eritrea and beyond. Yet, the struggles of many still remain in the shadows, often overlooked. A film about Eritrea’s untold story could serve as a powerful reminder of the courage it takes to fight for freedom and the importance of making these stories visible in our interconnected world.🇪🇷🐪
