I wasnt sure if it was enough to be considered a gimmick but the lower arms do have a slight gap for them to move side to side (just a bit, almost unnoticeable)

You can mount the shield on the backpack like a shield booster.

the T hold at the back is supposed a hardpoint for the shield, and the shield itself does act as a booster base from the Ka Signature figures.

Just an unpainted sitting pilot for the cockpit, it's generic too because Sentinel is an IP ownership nightmare; Bandai cut whatever deals they had to get the MK-V but not to get Brave Cod's likeness.

It looks like in step 9 of the leg assembly there's a pin (on part C2:9) that goes into the thruster that looks like it should extend - maybe a mechanism for getting it out of the way when the leg bends?

If you want to make the wire straight, you can hold a piece of cloths with one hand to grab the wire tightly and pull with another. You can also put abit of lubrication on the wire if need, since the grab and pull will resulted some heat.

The Beam Cannons have the same firing position in GBO2 just doesn't have to fight the upper legs and arms from room in GBO2 since they have no collision

Very nice review, Charlie426. I am originally on fence on this, but after watching your review, I might pull trigger on this. I think, based on promo pictures, the hole in backpack is meant to put the shield booster. It is the same mechanism as TR-1 Hazel. As far as I know the shield can be used as additional thruster or AMBAC Maneuver for this Mobile Suite.

Sentinel happens concurrently with ZZ, right on the heals of Z's conclusion since both Sentinel and ZZ happen in UC 0088, CCA was 0093. Narratively speaking the Gundam MK-V is the progenitor of Neo Zeon's Doven Wolf, them having stolen one of the other two test models when researchers from Murasame defected to the Neo Zeon.

This thing is a masterpiece. Definitely a better kit than its rival the EX-S in terms of stability and articulation. The color accuracy is on point, too. That color separation.

To be fair, the Ex-S doesn't even pretend it should be trying to stand under its own power, what with basically coming with a base to assemble it around- true to form in the sense that Sentinel's prose fully acknowledges the thing is only possible because they'll be fielding it in 0G

I considered getting it but figured to wait for the Silver Bullet instead, it's my favorite version of the mark V variants. Glad the kit holds up I was worried its size and weight would make it a floppy, unposable mess if not glued like a statue.

Very nice review. A Sentinel fan might buy this. But I must pass. Just standard accessories, too few armor surface details, the design doesn't ring to me personally. For 8000 yen, there are many many better alternatives for me (ex. MG ZZ Ver ka is only 5400yen).

FINALLY! The review is here!! 🔥 Been so hyped for this kit since it was announced! Very impressed with the overall kit too and the articulation! You could tell Bandai's engineers didn't skip too much corners designing this kit so much so they made sure to color correct everything. It's great that the arm doesn't droop cause of the shield either 😅 The original prototype images showed a support so I was worried it wouldn't hold it up. I can't wait for my preorder to arrive 😁 Now I wonder what the next variant will be, Doven Wolf or the Silver Bullet? And will they be normal release this time, or will Bandai decide to make them Premium Bandai 🤔

Both. The MKV design is based on the Doven Wolf since the MKV premiered much later, but chronologically, the MKV was developed first, and Neo Zeon developed the Doven Wolf from the MKV. tl;dr Bandai based MKV from Doven Wolf; Neo Zeon based Doven Wolf from MKV.
