Someone clearly has a lot of time... I gotta say thanks though. I would be annoyed as hell if I couldn't remember any of these titles lol
How... Just how is he able to remember how to play 72 songs, not including the songs that I remember he can play as well. This is a serious mindblow. You're beyond awesome, keep inspiring people to play piano.

+Ray Krislianggi I don't think he remembers how to play the songs. He plays by ear so whatever is in his head he just plays. Totally less impressive to just play by ear for 40 minutes 72 different songs than remembering them all right? XD

LostSCV Playing by ear doesn't mean you don't need to remember how to play them. Playing 72 songs that are learned by ear means you have to remember all 72 melodies, scale, and chords of each song. That, while being translated in real time to the piano with accuracy and conjunction between the songs. I haven't taken account that he played this on camera and would soon be seen by potentially millions. That's an entirely different feeling than just playing for fun. Playing a piano for 6 minutes straight without missing a note is hard, even for professional musicians. Although he didn't play the song continuously, he still managed to play for 40+ minutes of 72 songs without accidentally hitting a wrong note, that's incredible.

Yeah I was being sarcastic there but that is kinda hard to express through a youtube comment. He doesn't actually have to remember how to play them. He needs to remember what the piece sounds like which is the 72 melodies and chord patterns. He did not "learn" each piece by ear, although that is probably what he did a long time ago. At his godly level he is able to hear a piece and sit down and play it with his own twists on it, although I am sure he has played each of these pieces by ear before with different harmonic devices and ornaments. This at least what I think in my experience with pianists who play by ear. And none of this is to say he isn't incredible, because he is, but to explain why he is so incredible.
