On a motor coach that cost $1Mil + One would think nothing was skimpped but you can see in plain sight on some of the details on the video, examples like the cheap washer and drier units and the dish washer, a high end dish washers have a stainless inner tub rather than the cheap plastic....

Now while there are other choices out there for appliances, our engineers have to look at a number of factors including physical size, ability to withstand a mobile environment, coding requirements and weight. In the typical home the weight and mobile environment factors are not an issue; however, when designing motorcoaches, we have to consider all of these factors and more. But, allowances and substitutions can be made. When a client chooses to customize an order, upon reviewing priorities and wish list items, any number of possibilities exist. After all, our goal is to implement our client’s unique vision.

I own a 160 ft steel boat which costs me 2 million per year for the crew of 8 and maintenance costs per year, and that cost goes up depending on where I decide to go in the world and mostly for the diesel fuel, at 8knots my boat burns over 80 gallons per hour, I bought the boat new in 2006 and just had the engines and gen sets replaced, I am not a fan of the slide outs on motor coaches as it compromises the structural integrity of the coach. I've requested a quote from Prevost for a coach without the slides for one of their VIP Plus models and was quoted 2.2, I will be visiting their factory in September to take delivery, I wish you luck selling your product.

As far as slides go, we’ve produced over 500 coaches with slide-outs with no structural failures. The Prevost slide-out chassis is designed to be structurally sound without the slide rooms being installed. In other words, the coach can be driven without the slide rooms installed. If you really cared about weight, you wouldn't put a dozen of TV sets, shiny parts, useless "stylish" lights everywhere and other things of questionable taste. Honestly, I think the decoration is equivalent to what you would find in a mcmansion. I know that you can customise everything, but since most coaches I've seen in pictures look similar, it has to mean most of your customers have these tastes.

Tony Corleone you could build a heck of a school bus conversion with that kind of money, and you would still have the ground clearance to go off-road if you want. I just recently picked up a $1000 AmTran and plan on doing just that, minus about 2.1999 million give or take

I have a question. Why did y’all stop using the big windows in the back like on the Xll models? I think those look better on the X3 rather then the small window. That’s the only problem I see. It’s a beautiful coach! Hopefully one day I can afford one!

Do you guys know exactly where the HDMI input card is on this coach or any coach and how to access it?

Thank you for watching our videos. We need to begin by asking: "What would you like to do with the HDMI input card?” If it's for gaming, laptop or camera/video HD input, we install them per customer request, wherever the customer wants/needs them. Of course, there are HDMI input cards within the main Crestron HD switching console with the majority of the AV gear. For this style of coach it is in the rear of the coach interior on the driver’s side where there is an audio/video rack of devices. Just imagine the electrical issues, like doors not opening, and what happened to design? Shouldn't they be using materials that belong in a bus, perhaps more durable rather than the same lame stuff you would find in a show home?

Marathon Coach Inc Yes, there's no doubt that a lot of skilled work went into your motor coach, however, it is too complex, it will cost a fortune to fix. Even for us rich folks! The interior is already dated~ it's not a classic beautiful design, cheap materials, dated in ten years, waste of resources. Hey, just thought I would tell you that during an interview with NASCAR FedEx driver Denny Hamlin Saturday, he was standing just outside his MARATHON coach door and the MARATHON logo was in plain sight behind him during the entire interview! His coach was apple red in color and very sharp. Thought that was kinda cool!
