Can you just make a normal student map of Hogwarts? Like with all of the floors (dungeons and up), classroom names, owlery, quidditch pitch, courtyards, Hagrid's hut, forbidden forest, room of requirements, prefects bathrooms, kitchen, black lake, you could have maps of each of the common rooms and dorms and where they are in Hogwarts (you can have an option where you can have all of them in the book or the person printing can just leave out the common rooms that aren't their house. And in the corner it can say how you get into each one), etc. So basically a little booklet/packet/pocket map of Hogwarts? Something a normal student would carry around to find their way around the castle. If you do the booklet the cover could be the house colors/pattern. Or just black with the Hogwarts crest or all of the colors. Or just a normal-looking Hogwarts notebook with a spot to put name and house on the front (or inside). No matter what design, I think the name tag would be a good thing to put in it.

The Marauder's Map is my favourite movie prop - Thank you! Tip - for the light box I just stick a flashlight in a small clear plastic container. You can also line the bottom of the plastic container with aluminum foil to increase the brightness

Hi there! I've been such a longtime fan and I think I am finally able to tackle making the map during my work vacation time this Christmas! I was wondering, when printing the images double sided, would I select "Print on Long Edge" or "Print on Short Edge"? I assume it would be the former as that is the default usually, but I just wanted to make sure! Thank you so much, I really appreciate it!

For the map, flip on long edge. Basically, if you are printing something in portrait, you typically want to flip on the long edge. If you are printing in landscape, flip on short edge.

Hi, if I make a grammatical error, sorry, cause this isn't my first language. There it is the parts C, D, E n F of the maps in 8,5x11? Because I printed the new templates in the 8,5x11 scale that you made available. But the parts C, D, E n F just have in A3 scale and if I use the tool to adjust the scale to size in the A4 paper than, in the end, these parts will be smaller than the parts A n B that didn't have their scales reduced. Could anyone please try to explain to me what to do.

My printer doesn't take 11x17 paper so I downloaded the 8.5x11 template. I don't have enough printer ink or clue sticks so will be going to the store in a few minutes. Can you make the templates without the parchment background? I have paper that already looks like parchment that I could use.

The easiest thing would be for you to print the letter size version (8.5x11) on A4 sheets. When you print, select the scale to fit option in your printer preferences.

This is soooo good!!! I made 2! But I’m a bit confused on the older version part that I need for this new version. I have printed the hidden footprints and pages 31 to 44 from the old map. These templates are the same size as my original map with footprints. It must be settings on your printer. As long as you print both versions with the same printer, using the same settings, you should be good.

its because different web browsers and pdf readers give different margins on your paper so you have to see that when you print your scale setting is on 100 % all the time

If you printed your map on A4 or A3 paper, you want to print the 8.5x11 version of the pitch and use scale to fit in your print options.
