Part 2: MORE MARBLES!! (And some bottles, and some other odd finds) I think we found 26?🤔 marbles that day? Sorry to make you wait, but it would have been a very long video (and I would not have finished photographing and editing in time Lol) That's what happens when you're out marble hunting instead of staying home and editing. 😁💖

Hello Cathy and Drew. This is a awesome video and Lew and I enjoyed watching it. So many nice marbles so far. 🙂We like the one you mention and show with the good sized bubble in it. Nice dish finds and it was nice to see they matched some of your porcelain dishware. What a nice old KINSELLA shaker you found! 🙂 That early old Eagle key was one of the best keys we have seen somebody find on a video and mudlarking hunt. . Lew has a nice collection of old keys and that looks like a old skeleton key from the late 1890's. 🙂 Lew and I are glad you both had gone out mudlarking together and we are looking forward to watching part two of this day. We wish you both good health and luck. Take care and happy hunting to the both of you.----Jeffrey Hull Jr. (Jeff & son Lew)

Hi Jeff & Lew, Glad you enjoyed the video. Sorry you have to wait for Part 2, but it would have been a very long video otherwise. (Plus having to clean and photograph 30+ finds). We had not been to this area in about nine months, and had lots of storms to restock the river with marbles. That is why there more finds than usual. I love that key 🗝️ too! One if my fav finds that day! Part 2 will have at least as many marbles plus a few nicer bottles, that we did not already have! It was COLD out there, but we'd waited sooo long for low water, we went anyway. 🥶 Thanks always for watching and commenting! Spring is coming! -Cathy (& Drew)😃😎👍

Hello Maria! 👋😃 Good to hear from you! Haha 😅 Even Drew didn't want to go home after a while.. too many finds! We waited months for the river level to go down, but all the storms helped to "re-stock" the river with beautiful marbles! It was worth the wait. I am looking forward to some warmer spring weather and longer days though.. just around the corner! (We hope) BTW, I'm going to look up your Island, to see what it's like where you are! ❤️ from USA!

@massriverpickers9 ай бұрын
Hi Sheila, Yes it definitely produces the finds... But not always this many!! This is because we had months of storms and high water. New old objects get exposed once the water level goes down. Still, this stretch does have a good variety of finds, to keep things interesting... When it is low and accessible. -Cathy💖

Nice lark! Loved the shaker and of course, all the marbles! Why do so many marbles end up in the river?! Look forward to part 2. Cheers from PA, Larisa
@massriverpickers9 ай бұрын
Hello Larisa! Glad you enjoyed the video. Part 2 (next week) will not disappoint! People dumped trash into this river years ago. Some items break down over the years, or were burned, but glass generally survives. We occasionally find other toys, doll parts, etc. but for some reason, there are more marbles in this stretch of river than we have seen most other places. Some say "slingshot" as a reason: kids shooting marbles into the river... but I think many were just disposed of, with the trash. Do you ever watch "Rocks Cousteau" channel? He digs marbles in an old town dump every day!! Great channel! So we are not showing you ALL the trash we find in the river. Just mostly the good stuff! -Cathy😁(& Drew 😎👍)

Drew and Cathy you guys have some incredible spots! Mason told me the other day larking was the only treasure hunting we hadn’t tried yet and he really wanted to try. Got some good info on an old mill pond, we went and he finally found some marbles! Including a few clay Benningtons! We love watching you guys hunt! Let us know if you ever want some company, we only live 30 mins from Massachusetts up here in NH. Another awesome video guys, love watching!

Hi There, We enjoy watching you guys too! Congrats to Mason on finding some Benningtons! Once you've been mudlarking a while, you will start finding stuff even when you're not looking. Your eyes will always be in search mode 👀. BTW, did you see last week's video? Probably my best find ever (gold crucifix). I put a close-up pic on our community page. Even found a crotal bell and an 1800's silver coin that day.. and I would have been happy with just the marbles!😄 I will be metal detecting some more on the "old farm" this year. It is near NH border, but conditions are challenging. I have been hunting that place for decades, but am still finding some keepers. Tons of trash though (200 years worth). Let's keep in touch, and maybe we can collaborate one day. -Cathy 😁

Hi Cynthia! I hated to have to end this video half way through, but it would have gone too long. I think we found 26 marbles, plus bottles and other stuff that day. AND we went back again yesterday! 🧊 Nice Ice breaker ! Cool marbles …. Nice that your daughter enjoyed watching, and ended up with some keys! Lol😄. I was glad Drew could join me that day. He will be retiring soon. That will give us more opportunities to go out! I do have a few more flea market vids to edit yet... But an early Marble Season put everything else on hold 😁 💖 Unfortunately, we are losing one of our fav flea markets. Hollis NH has sold out to developers. ☹️ We're really going to miss that one. But we still have the Rowley Mass flea to go to.. and the bottle shows.
