These marbles needed a lot more distance between them in the qualifiers. Several marbles had their runs interfered with by the lack of distance, including Our Darling Clementin. Drafting shouldn't be a part of multiple marbles' individual qualifying time. Especially on a track like this where marbles can barely see each other.

Yellow Eye qualifying low gives a huge bump to Speedy. If Yellow Eye repeats Red Eye's performance last week, look out for Speedy to make an effort. Based on where Speedy's season began, it'd probably be the highlight of the season. Would definitely need its own Championship Video.

I know you're not doing it because it would take ages to animate, but...I did pair up some marble teams with Eurovision countries for a mock up Marblevision: Mellow Yellow: Sweden (because their NF is commonly known as Mello and their football jumper is Yellow) O'Rangers: The Netherlands (Of course because the Dutch Royal Family is known as the House of Orange) Chocolatiers: Belgium (Self-explanatory?) Moldova: Balls of Chaos (if you wonder why I'm not giving MOldova to Team Momo, Moldova is known for the chaotic energy of their songs, so, BOC is closer to them). Oceanics: United Kingdom (Because their tag is #ridethewave that sounds similar to the Rule the waves part in Rule Brittania).

A great race - love the track design and the mist! Agree with others that the pacing is a little fast. Especially between the end of Q1 and the start of Q2, and the same between Q2 and Q3 - - it was hard to imagine that the marble "drivers" had time to get from the bottom of the conveyor to the top and get set up in position for the next qualifier. I think it helps to imagine the marbles as real drivers/athletes: you wouldn't have those kinds of cuts in footage of people or it would seem too abrupt/like something was missing. I also hope we see more "b-roll" shots in the GP 10 race - a bit more of the mystical Misty Mountain, more of the spectators in the stands, more little vignettes like in some previous GPs. Those are so fun! But overall the new editor is doing well - welcome to the team, from the fans! :-)

Couple of notes, and the first one is something I've been thinking for a while watching these first round qualifiers. I realize that you mentioned this in the video description and know that it was a problem today, but it's a little more than that. 1. Send the marbles down individually in Q1. It doesn't add all that much time and it feels like the results are getting skewed somewhat by the two marbles running sometimes interacting with one another. It just doesn't seem fair, if one marble is having a bad run, and hits the marble behind it (who might be having a better run) and causes THAT marble to have a bad run as result. In Q2 and Q3 this doesn't matter because those are actual races. But Q1 is a time trial and it should be run like one. 2. The editing is crisp but the pacing is far too quick. Viewers need time to process the data as well as take in some of what is going on sometimes. Also Greg needs time to commentate. You might also consider (if it's possible to place them without getting in the way) putting some action cams for close up shots, particularly on turns that clearly demonstrate a certain level of danger, or at points where lead changes or other dramatic events are likely to occur. Just a thought. GOD my Raspberry Racers suck at this sport...

I appreciate the gimmick with the haze, but it really doesn't help the viewing. Even at your full published 1080p50 you have compression artifacts multiple times, especially on the darker marbles, making it very hard to tell where they are. They seem to slip positions as multiple frames are blurred out.

Shock failing to qualify officially eliminates them. Ducks and Momo are 71 and 74 points behind respectively, with only 80 possible points remaining since neither received pole today. CCE would also win a tie breaker, having more silvers than Ducks and more bronze than Momo (if one team won all three they would match CCE with 4 golds). Unless my math is off, if neither of those two teams wins second place or better, the championship will be clinched after this race. Say the ducks take 3rd with fastest lap, 17 points, and CCE gets zero. That would drop their lead to 54 points, the exact maximum Ducks could get in the last 2 races (win, pole, and lap). And since CCE would have the tiebreaker, and Momo is even further behind, anything but silver/gold for Ducks and Momo will do it!!! #eyesontheprize

A couple of marbles were either hindered, or had a draft to benefit from, which should not be in the spirit of qualifying. Ahh man! haha, the Hazers were so close to failing to qualify, until that final disastrous run! I was thinking that it would've been good for Team Galactic, since the Hazers are 12 points ahead and would not be able to gain any points, making it more feasible for Galactic to climb to a 5th or 6th position on the rankings, as the Thunderbolts shock-ingly failed to qualify as well. Hm.. will be exciting tomorrow, love the course as well, those tight bends will cause trouble and it will be awesome :)
