MARBULA ONE S3 GP6 Honeydome - RACE

The Marbles will buzz through the Honeydome! The 6th GP of season 3 is on the Honeydome of the Bumblebees where 20 marble teams will compete in the most epic marble racing event of the marble universe!
NOTE: There will be a mid-season break after this race. More details will be announced soon.
No worries, we will upload other content soon, including some big Gravitrax Marble Runs.

As I am a big fan of the Kobalts and Team Galactic this race was both amazing and slightly heartbreaking, seeing Starry struggle to get ahead so many times but ultimately being forced back. Both Team Galactic and the Kobalts however have shown themselves to be very consistent in these races, this is actually the first podium from either, but even before this race with no podium placements they still found themselves rather high in the league.

It was a nice demonstration of how the Hazers mix dizzying heights with terrifying lows all the time. The only consistent part about the Hazers is their inconsistency!

Hazers excel when speed is integral to performance. With technical courses like this, we just get pushed around by the competition and every bump saps speed. The waggle here was just painful to watch - so many lost opportunities because even though Hazy was the faster racer it was so hard to make a move.

@@jabekens I can see that being the case though in some instances they've shown themselves capable in technical circuits! I hardly think Honeydome is more technical than, say, Mellow Meadows (super technical) or Tumult Turnpike. We'll have to see how they fare back at the Momotorway.

Incredible race by Bumble of course but Clementin was almost as impressive! Starting in 15th and getting on the podium would be an impressive performance in any other race but it is slighty overshadowed by Bumble's herculean effort of 16th to second. Still really commendable effort, especially since it keeps the O'rangers right on the tail of the Crazy Cat's Eyes in the championship as they managed to pass Yellow Eye in the very last lap!

I really feel like Momo's strategy is to be in as many positions as possible during each individual. Start high? Drop immediately to the back and work your way up the charts. Start low? Immediately jump to the front then slowly work your way down.

Bumble's masterful maneuvering of the honeycombs allowed for them to overtake and expand their lead with competitors literally on their tail where they choked in said honeycombs. I daresay that if Royal hadn't been so far ahead, they would have overtaken them.

What a crazy podium! Flawless race by Royal, Bumble breaking the host curse, and Clementine getting in the zone for that massive recovery! As an O'rangers fan, this race didn't disappoint. Clementine must've been training hard. I think I saw them use some of Orangin's moves in that race; intentionally slowing down to kill the momentum of the racers behind, then looking for aggressive passing lines to keep themselves moving up. Amazing plays.

It's gotta be galling to fumble such a strong performance in the qualifiers and struggle so hard to just barely miss making the podium. Yellow Eye has the skills but needs to work on keeping his bottle when the races get intense. Especially with Red Eye racing so consistently well, this marble's gonna have something to prove in the second half of the league.

The belt was unkind to the Wisps again! The last lap went from 5 to 8 all due to the belt. Good racing by the Captain of the Wisps to recover and get 6th. I think this was a good rebound for the Midnight Wisps (and sorely needed). Hopefully we can build on this and continue to climb back up the leaderboard.

Stunning racing today! Happy with Thunder’s performance. Slightly disappointing because he was in the top 5 earlier on, but he went up a few spots right at the end to get a nice finish. I think he’s very quick, but it’s a shame that he can’t handle pressure from other competitors well, which slows him down a lot. But he was very hasty to pass. Edit: Realising that the Pinkies aren’t just in last, they’re sorely in last. 15 points off of the Green Ducks! A measly 8 points! That’s what the Hornets amassed in the first season…

Something always goes wrong for Galactic in the final laps. They can do well for 90% of the race but always fail in the end. This is almost like being a Maple Leafs fan.

Unbelievable defence from Bumble once in 2nd place. The only marble looked set to pass and hold was Clem, but one lap more was needed. That was a real classic.

That was indeed some robust defending, holding off Thunder, Crush, Starry, Wispy and Clementine. Also Bumble's move to take second place was timed and executed perfectly.

What an amazing race! Royal just blew everyone away right from the outset and Bumble and Clementin came from way back to finish 2nd and 3rd. Great job by Clementin finishing hard in the last three laps.
