Please excuse the fact that I'm only interested in this clip for The Big Breakfast, rather than Marc Almond, but it's actually fascinating for the Licence To Grill game. This is an anomaly, I've heard about this in recent years but have no recollection of it whatsoever. I was a big fan of the show, back in the day, and I watched it pretty much every morning. From 1992 to 1996 they always had a phone in competition at around 8.30am. I can literally remember them all, in the order they played them. But this one escapes me. It's particularly odd that it doesn't have a jingle. Interesting to see.

I'll have a look to see if there's any more footage of it on the VHS or if it has a jingle. I'll upload it if I find anything.

Thanks, really appreciate that. A bit of anorak info for any Big Breakfast fans who have read this and taken an interest, the more I think about it the more I seem to very vaguely recall the game and the reason why it is so obscure. I believe it was a sort of makeshift game that replaced one called Slippery When Wet, which had to be abandoned after only a couple of outings because it involved a mechanical surf board which broke. I'm sure that one only lasted about a week in all, yet was only played about twice because of problems with the machine, and was hastily replaced by a game called Spill The Beans on the days when it had to be called off, which had preceded it in the 8.30 competition slot. I think Licence To Grill just plugged a gap until the Eggs On Legs roadshow began, where they played a heavily promoted game called Cock-A-Doodle-Do-It which had merchandise tied in with it. And also a game played at the house called Get Your Egg Over. Having to pluck up memories over two decades old here, but I think I've cracked the case on this little known game. I remember it being discussed a few years ago on the Big Breakfast forum and had heads scratching.
