Many of the early b-side tracks were gems in their own right, none more so in my opinion that Woodland Rock, which to me was pure rock and roll, as good as anything ever produced by Berry (a clear influence), Presley or Haley.

Woodland Rock was Marc's take on Rock n Roll in the woods, Woodland Rock n Roll

Released version is more powerful. But nevertheless, Tanx.

We (Thunderwing Prods) mixed this from the multi-track 2" master tape. There are few false starts and alternate versions of this track alone and proves that Marc didn't record as fast as has been perceived - infact, he was quite purposeful and spent time going over and over parts of songs that he wanted to nail, with subtle lyric changes on the way. We didn't actually release this album - it was given away with a specially designed Tanx T-shirt. I hope everyone enjoys it! Danielz (T.Rextasy & Thunderwing Productions)

Daniels you are so right I like the way it blossoms but sometimes you think man he could have left it right there and it would still be a master piece I love its as close to a live version you can get keep up the great work you do Daniels see ya soon

If you play guitar, get yourself a Dallas Rangemaster pedal, plug in, there's THE sound!!!

I know, cannot get enough of him

I think because his music seems to be either on a all time high ecstatic euphoria feeling... or the music feels melancholy and sad..and that where I connect the most with Marc.

Timeless and Priceless slice of Rock'n'Roll. Full of raw energy. Very few bands played the initial cuts of their tracks live in the studio. It was an essential element of the T.Rex Sound. Great photos too.

Misty I read you almost like all Marcs songs almost he has never made a bad one what songs do mean its sad that you almost like them I have never heard a bowie fan or Slade or any other fan say that about any of the stars they like but it seems that Marc Bolan fans s feel they have a right to find fault with his songs he had problems with so called critics slagging his albums singles off and now you are adding to those scum bags that did it for a living and let's face what did those people have to show for it nothing is the they are talentless people having a go at someone who was talented and contributed something to the world and to the rest of my life that I thank him for its a pity he died so young but if he had lived he would be very sad that his fans are slagging his music off I find really sad

I don't think that Flo and Eddie get the credit they deserve. Their backing vocals made the tracks from 1971-73 at Bolan's peak.
@tholian_web2 жыл бұрын
Totally agree. I especially love their backing vocals on Electric Warrior's Planet Queen. And Mystic Lady from The Slider album. ❤️
