Great song. Great songwriter. Great player!! Been seeing him since his Burning Tree days at the Coconut Teaser in Hollywood. Saw him last night up here in Novato, Ca. Another amazing show!

Beautiful, many of us have survived the youth intensity, this song is like an arrival to the shore after wild seas traveling! Thanks Marc, I feel like I've been growing like you all those years.

Really strong album, Marc. Been a fan for years. I don't think anyone doing the slower/mid tempo songs is doing it any better these days that includes the poseurs holding up Grammy's ever year. Chris and Rich wish they could channel such genuine tunes like this. They could've used you when they couldn't write any songs off the reunion tour. Sweet arrangements and production. Really enjoying the album. Congrats!

Huge fan of Marc's skills on electric, and have mad respect for the courage it must have taken to quit the Crowes. Loving this "singer-songwriter" sound, somewhat reminiscent of what Jason Isbell's been doing for the last few years. Here's hoping Marc gets his due & is able to handle it this time around. Super-talented musician, hope he starts touring again soon!

I love Marc also, but he didn't quit the Crowes, he was fired.

@@brendaeisler553 First time around he refused to go to rehab, so he kinda chose to step out. Second time around, he quit in order to maintain his sobriety. ✌️

I stumbled on this today, and how lucky I am to have done so. Nearly made me cry when less than 200 people show up to see Marc & Rich play together on a Friday night in BALTIMORE. Oh wll, at leastl, I had fun!

I hadn’t visited this album in quite a while - I’ve been on a different musical vibe -however; in response to a question posted on social media just a few minutes ago, I’ve ended up here. Despite it not being anywhere near the top of my mind, it was an almost immediate, seemingly, involuntary response to the following post: What’s your favourite song? I want to listen to it. The song, like the album, is an unquestionably personal album for Marc. That said, the way expresses vulnerability so openly, makes the song (the album) accessible, familiar if not relatable to a lot of people. Hopefully by my sharing, someone new will get turned onto Marc Ford’s incredible solo catalogue.

It's a great record. Arguably his best. Genuine acoustic-based singer/songwriter stuff. Arguably his most balanced, full album. Sort of a reckoning for him. A confessional of sorts.
