I hope he ends up being good, he is not the typical Barca prospect, a tall, and fast striker that scores goals, but this generation of la masia prospects has insane potential there are a good amount of kids that are seriously impressing in the lower teams this can solve a lot of Barca's problems financially if some of them turn out great in the next 4-5 years and they don't have to pay big money to sign a lot of players.

Barca's success in the past decade was because of La Masia, but during Bartomeu era, they made wrong decisions on bringing in players like Dembele, coutinhio. Now Xavi has revived La Masia and it'll continue to produce better results ❤💙

Over the last 25 years, just TEN academy players have had a sustained run of at least 5 seasons in the first team (Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, Busquets, Alba, Pedro, Piqué, Valdez, Puyol, Sergi Roberto). That's a drop in the bucket compared to how many academy players got promoted to the first-team during that time. Some have been re-bought (Cesc, Deulefeu) and it still didn't go as expected. There needs to be a measure of optimism tempered with realism everytime an academy product gets minutes in the first team.
