I don't watch things that i don't like it's bad for your health ;) like the Monsters that old timers sell to keep kicking rivals out of races, is that clean, not dangerous, respectful racing? Or maybe you prefer pilots that only talk out of the races instead of doing it on the track like Marquez, but those prefer to end their carriers at +40 seconds to the lead. The only people that complain are the only ones that know that can't beat Marquez, I never seen Dovi complaining about Marc's style... But yeah Marquez is dirty of course. Keep on hating! I will keep enjoying the fights between Quartararo, Dovi and Marc that are yet to come. :)

all races and sports have periods and each period has it's greatest... we can't really compare a 2019 rider on a bike with over 50 electronic sensors with a rider from the 1950s... or a Norton or Indian rider from 1900s doing 90mph with practically zero stopping power on a wood track...

Yes those riders of the past were amazing but this man is clearly special.

@@UpdogGolf oh-hello, funny you should ask :} they do actually have power mapping for wet conditions for a particular circuit, something that couldn't be done just a few years back.... so there's your 'wet conditions sensor' right there. both acceleration and braking are adjusted according to the available grip. that's a considerable help for the rider.. the racing changes as the machines change.. different requirements and different skill sets. be safe, have fun! *having automated systems that blip the throttle, modulate the braking power according to the lean angle, micro-adjusts the suspension, changes the power band, etc, FREEs up time, mental power and all that for the rider. other things come into play because of the increased speeds but overall, a 2020 rider has more time to focus on the lines and strategy than a rider had even 10 yrs ago. less things to worry about as they say. the data collected by sensors is also very important to set-up the bikes, much less guess work and we know that consistency is critical.. ** in your vision mr Senna had to do the same amount of work, less or more compared to a current F1 driver on a wet circuit?

Greatest is subjective. Marquez won't be for me, never raced a 500 in anger. They were such beasts they can't be ignored. Plus it's taken him this long to stop being "Red Mist" aggressive to the point of punting other riders on a frequent and reliable basis. He's only just started to mature, and for me that's taken too long. My perception is also tainted by the bias he's been shown by Dorna, rescinding the rookie rule specifically for him when it was designed to screw an American. 2015 doesn't need much further explanation. Don't get me wrong, most talented rider out there, but there's so much else that can't be ignored. Too much dirty laundry behind and before the scenes to see him as the paragon of the sport so many others do. For me Doohan is still the hardest of them all, and the greatest in my eyes.

Doohan was treated as a slave, he mastered the ruthless beast he was strapped to in order to win. But times change and safety is reaching tracks(minus Philip Island), words spoken, machines limits(thank you electronics), and riding gear. No more F1 fireballs and dangling driver legs, or GP two stroke supernova 500 high sides into the stratosphere. Without Marquez and the imbalance he presents, just what would we be watching... or bitching about ?

@@scamboz In actuality, he would void his contract with Honda if he pursued the TT. We can wish it though. If Honda sponsored him and he didn't eat a stone wall, records could be broken. But watching and viewing a ride 'round the course on board as a rider who has been on track... one must be willing to truly die to break a record. One mechanical like killed Dunlop Sr or a bird fart and it is Game Over.

When you look at some footage of cal 35 diving into corner the bike seems so much unstable ! Even harder to steer into corner ! But the way Marc makes it look smoother and comes across the obstacles and push ing the bike to its beyond limit is simply incredible ! What a legend! 93 for a reason!!
