Marc Marquez's Incredible C.O.T.A. Comeback 🇺🇸

As the front six bikes jockeyed for the podium, a certain Marc Márquez was on the comeback trail. After missing the action last time out in Argentina due to effects from a heavy crash in Indonesia, Márquez was back to action and qualified a solid ninth at a circuit he has enjoyed so much success at over the years.
Following a disastrous start to the race, where he appeared to bog down and ended up last by the time the pack braked for the first corner, the ‘King of COTA’ Marc Marquez went from last place to sixth across the finish line, showing incredible strength to recover from a string of injuries to come back from a torrid start to the race and bag some strong points.
Watch how it all unfolded on track.

I think also many of those drivers he had in turns by late braking & a tire up position thought twice about tangling with him. He was a bull in the early years, he pushed the proper etiquette into the bad fringe's that ended up in hitting each other [kind-o-dirty pool] sooooo.....that was in back of their head & he is not like that anymore. He is just bad-ass at-the-limits-operator & the legendary → K i N G - of - C o T a ← IMO.....and most others !! Always Forward ~ Godspeed "M a r c M a r q u e z" .....GodSpeed bro

@R J Just a former racer with 15 years racing experience. But regardless, it doesn’t take a professional to see how smart he is at picking lines and racecraft to set up passes. Gotta be kind of dumb to not see the mental talent these riders all have.

@@digit975 99% of YT'ers are dumb ! I'm only a bike enthusiast and have never ridden anything more than a 125cc but it's obvious how stable he is on his bike and the lines in and out of the corners without hesitation and so smooth - even when he overdoes it ! And the foresight in changing into the correct gear seconds before the others to get the most drive all around the track You can see the others having to "fight" with their bikes ! Amazing talent. Remember when we had - Stoner, Lorenzo, Rossi, Marquez & Pedrosa ALL racing up front !!! THAT was MotoGP. All at this level ! Many excellent riders now I'm sure but I don't watch anymore for some years now.

@deadprivacy
@deadprivacy 2 жыл бұрын
watching this? id call him THE greatest, every rider he passes explains each reason, hes tiny, like stoner, even amongst moto gp riders hes miniscule. his balance on the bike every single braking zone, the bike rarely lifts so as you see daylight under the rear, i saw him endo once, and that was late braking in order to pass, but every corner the rear rises juuuuust enough to keep the tyre on the road, then the transition to loading the rear? is just so smooth compared to everyone else, hes dancing across the bike , theres no start or stop to his movements, he never "flicks" the bike, never jerks, just this smooth continuous weaving of his weight and frame, despite being tiny, he uses his weight better than the others, hes further out when hes hanging off and when he moves back in? its like the suspension doesnt know hes there. then theres the creativity, because hes so uch quicker his extra speed lets him take crazy lines to pass, his willingness to risk and to try to wring the speed out of the bike, there are two mistakes he makes in this run, he overshoots a corner and gets dropped back early on as he wasnt quite patient enough... So this is him rding? hurling some unforced errors in....??? and he just smokes everyone else, absolutely smokes em, in a "why did you even bother to come out to play" kinda way. imagine being out there knowing you got to race him....must be absolutely demoralising. He truns every excuse of "my bike isnt good enough" on its head. nope.

@@deadprivacy All riders are good, To Mark the something that others lack but had it for Rossi, Dohan and Stoner, it's consistency. His abilities to persevere. I just can not understand the new motorcycle that Honda built, It may be better than last year and better than other Honda riders, But for Mark it does not fit and I think it is better for him to return to the previous model until he regains his confidence back. Mark did not have many more years to be strong in the competition and the younger generation challenged him as he came and gave a challenge to Valentino and the others. In any case, it will take many more years for such a promising person to arrive.

Superb comebak..it’s sure that his bike is not stronger than the other bike while their running in the straight line but he is showing his talent and his specialty on every corner…he’s on another level…he’s good at streets,stunts.etc…i like his personality in showing his love to his fans and other bikers….but for me VR46 is still the bestest rider from my childhood he’s already famous and he’s like a legend throughout those years,time passes and he’s getting older and older and just ended his racing carrer….have you ever thought about him of his other opponents during early 20’s they had already ended up their carrer in lots of lots of years ago like nicky haiden,alex barros,marco melandri,sete gibernau.etc…he’s truly the world’s best rider…and no one can beat his record,Mark Marques is the only one who nearly beat his records….but he is also getting older and older and his age will slow down his speed….after my Idol Valentino Rossi retired from moto gp,Marc Marques is my favourite rider…I wish him the best wishes….may my good Lord Jesus Christ gave him a healthy life and bless him with joy and have a wonderful life and his carrier of his racing team…..GO!!!!!!!!!!! The Doctor….long live Valentino Rossi…wish you the best for your future….and Marc Marques I wish you the bestest luck and always stand in the podium for no1…with love ❤️ all the way from Mizoram(India)

Wow! His gear selections indicate he always wants to keep the bike at peak power while still maintaining grip. Like shifting up for half a second right before the turn then dropping gears, that's a lot of work!

Every other driver on that track is a world class motorcycle rider with a bike that you truly cannot buy, and Marquez is passing MULTIPLE of those cars every lap. Staggering how much better he is than everybody else

This is before his operation, so his right humerus is twisted 30 degrees in the wrong direction, leaving him in agony and physically weak for the whole race.

Marc es el mejor sin duda, muchos aplauden los logros de otros pilotos y critican a Marc, pero no saben apreciar, valorar el potencial y el espectáculo que le da el a moto GP.
