One of the saddest reasons Queen didn't go with him is because he's exactly that... good at sounding like Freddie. Adam Lambert is shite and it was a shame for all Queen fans that the band overlooked Marc. They could have paid real tribute to the legend with a song written for Freddie, but which was realized with Marc...wouldn't that have been something?

Even on this video he admits that he hasn't rehearsed or performed the song in a while, as it was an impromptu request on a livestream. Unless you mean "hides the effort to sound like Freddie", which in that case, there's no hiding it. His bandmates have shared on multiple occasions that Marc doesn't "try" to sound like Freddie, it just comes out like this. "Do or do not, there is no try."

I don't know, what's the bigger treasure - the parts, where you've nailed it, or the parts, where (as some prim and proper critic would say) you "screwed up". This song is like a posthumous monument to Freddie, he didn't have time to re-interpret it, tweak anything, sing something differently. Every time you make a mistake - the song comes alive, starts to breath, opens from a new perspective and shows a whole space of "what could've been"s. Dude, you're a genius!
