So familiar with the Aretha version I was curious to hear other folk cover it. The strength of his voice suits the song so perfectly, I am a bit surprised other males don’t cover it. Unlike a few Aretha classics (Say A Little Prayer, being a notable example) the lyrics work across the sexes.
