If the question was "what sea is 500 nautical miles west of the philippines" its gunna be west philippine sea. But west philippine sea only covers the philippine area of responsibility, lets not confuse the whole s. China sea as w. Phil. Sea, only partial of s. China sea covered w. Phil. Sea, its not the whole s. China sea that covers the w. Phil. Sea.

It is part of the 200 notical miles exclusive economic zone of Philippines' territory written in 1987 Constitution of the Philippines based by the description of UNCLOS which has the guidelines governing countries surrounded by bodies of water or sealocked countries. China claim it only for "historical rights".

GEOGRAPHY: Definition includes the "study of the natural and the(human) built environment". That's why structures like the Eiffel Tower, the Taj Mahal, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, etc. are considered the proper studies in the science of geography. Forget what you were taught back in school, the science has moved on. Of course, these structures can also be studied under many other disciplines, but those are the subjects for other KZbin videos. If you only learn about a country's location on a map, what practical good is that? Geography incorporates many disciplines; including history, economics, statistics. meteorology, etc. to get a fuller picture of the human and natural environment. Its not just about finding out where the capital of Norway is on a map, any more.

In 1970 The Greek Junta instigated a coup D'Etat to oust Makarios and accomplish Enosis, the union with Greece.
