He was supposed to go on a world tour in 2020 but the pandemic hit. Everything went on hold! You will be more impressed once you know that he never had a formal vocal training. Marcelito has an amazing God-given talent, grew up homeless for half of his life, finished Third Grade so has limited command of English. But sang in English, Spanish, Italian, Chinese, French (I Believe in You, a Celine Dion and Il Divo cover) and in his own Visayan dialect. What’s so amazing? Marcelito is either a genius or has great memory retention. I think he’s both! He’s a phenomenal artist but definitely a beautiful, humble human being! Marcelito Pomoy is definitely in the elite singing bracket. He blows people out of the water. He is dubbed as the "man with a golden female voice" and "male diva of the Philippines. He's a versatile singer, he could do any music, he does it all. After AGT he has so many concerts/tours lined up in Asia, Canada, Australia and USA but was postponed because of pandemic. He met Celine Dion in her concert. Born in poverty and risen to stardom but remains humble and true to his Christian faith and family. A beautiful soul that brought so much pride for the Philippines. Marcelito is a great mimic! He can imitate just about any singer, male or female, in a multitude of languages. He doesn't need to know the languages. I think he just does it phonetically, reproducing the exact sounds he heard the original artist make.

I am really addicted to his voice since I heard him sing The Prayer. His voice is so smooth so clean and so clear. To learn more about his background check out his appearance at the Ellen de GENERES show. She invited him to her show after she saw him do The Prayer. He had an interpreter. Watch until the end as Ellen had a surprise for him. Then please react to his performances at the America’s Got Talent The Champions (4). For audition The Prayer for semi finals Con Te Partiro Beauty and the Beast for finals and We Are The Champions by Freddy Mercury at the awards night. He’d met Celine Dion through the courtesy of Helen De Genares. He was first invited to perform to Helen’s show, and while he was performing, Helen contacted Celine to watch Marcelito in her show. Celine was amazed too that she invited Marcelito. Their meeting was arranged by Helen.

Thank you for your sincere comment, this talent cannot be achieved by practice by a grade 3 person, who just grew in the street living almost the charity of others you are right sir, this talent is given somewhere above chosen a filipino from small country, poor and noted to be supplier of housemaid or domestic helpers who were abused abroad and raped due to hardship in life just to survive and support the family desiring to live honorably!

Yes his voice is impressive but the man himself is as well. He was scheduled to go on tour when this all Covid nightmare began and .... instead of feeling sorry for himself due to cancellations and as he was beginning to grow as a singer, he took upon himself to construct small houses for the poor in the Philippines. He was distributing foods, etc. What a good heart !
