You are the only person to be critical (or as you say Honest). I have watched this man sing this for years and he had NO FORMAL TRAINING and was born with both voices.

Marcelito is famous for being able to mimic just about any singer, male or female, in a multitude of languages. He's like a tape human recorder, reproducing the exact sounds he hears. So tell it to Celine Dion if you think there's something wrong with his pitch. He was just copying her. And incase you didn't know, Marcelito has never had any formal vocal training. He grew up on the streets in the Philippines, an orphan, and is completely self taught.

I agree with MARGARETANN STEWART comment below. I just saw Marcelito...LIVE....IN PERSON last night in SKOKIE, ILLINOIS during his Chicago concert tour. The venue was full-packed that they have to add more seats before the show started. He sung: THE PRAYER, NEVER ENOUGH, DESPACITO, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, CON TI PARTIRO, HALLELUJAH, etc., and some Tagalog and Visayan songs too. My wife and I had a great time and enjoyed the show as we had a good seat: 4th row in the center. He said after his tour in USA he is going to CANADA and then to AUSTRALIA, etc. At the end of the show, we were able to have picture taking with him and also singed the CD we bought. Watching from Illinois USA: 04-05-2022. Early morning here now. TO ALL BE SAFE.

Chris, there is an 11 member (5 women, 6 men) A Cappella ensemble called "Voctave" to which I think you would enjoy reacting. Although Voctave has numerous KZbin videos, I recommend that you start with their "Disney Princess Medley" (2017) and then "Disney Love Medley" (late 2015). Note: The "Disney Love Medley" was recorded when Voctave had only 8 members. It features Kirstin Maldonado of Pentatonics fame and Jeremy Michael Lewis of the Acousticats. That video currently has 32 million views.

Marcelito takes this song to yet another level in the release of his album, "Duet Yourself". Since it is a tracked recording, he includes all of the harmonies where Bocelli and Dion sing together in harmony. It is quite beautiful with Marcelito singing the lead (Bocelli) in tenor/baritone and the alto harmony (Dion) in countertenor. This song also includes a marvelous background orchestra. Here is the link to the audio: kzbin.info/www/bejne/i33akmmbgdmonLs Here is a partial list of other covers by Marcelito: Celine Dion's "The Power of Love" (His best female imitation in my opinion) Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On" Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You", "I Have Nothing", "One Moment in Time" Loren Allread's "Never Enough" Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean" Celine Dion/Peabo Bryson's "Beauty and the Beast" Kenny Loggins "Forever" Mariah Carey's "Hero" and "Oh Holy Night" Elvis Presley's "Can't Help Falling In Love" Beyonce's "Listen" Steelheart's "She's Gone" Ed Sheeran's "Perfect" Miley Cyrus' "When I Look At You" Luther Vandross "Dance With My Father" Diana Ross/Lionel Richie's "Endless Love" Sarah Brightman/Andrea Bocelli's "Time To Say Goodbye" (He sings in Italian) Teresa Teng "The Moon Represents My Heart" (He sings in Chinese) IL Divo/ Celine Dion's "I Believe In You" (He sings in French and imitates 4 different voices) Luis Fonsi's "Despacito" (He sings in Spanish) Finally, Marcelito sings numerous Filipino songs in his native language, Tagalog.

His soprano is mixed voice, not falsetto. If you're a music expert, it's easy to see that a male singer can't sing in falsetto with such a feminine tone. Also, you should also consider that he sings in a language other than his native language, or that he sits and sings.
@creativecrewfam Жыл бұрын
It's actually quite possible to sing in such a high range and still be falsetto, It's a reinforced falsetto. But, I do agree that the majority of the time it's a mixed voice :)

"A little pitchy"? You are a vocal coach and never recognized that Marcelito was accurately recreating the voices of Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli. In two genres and two languages. It is not just "difficult". He has a unique gift. What other male singer can recreate a fully supported female voice? And don't say Dimash. He can't. All of that disqualifies you. I hope you haven't done any more reactions to Marcelito. Bye.
@creativecrewfam Жыл бұрын
Well that was a lot lol. I didn't realize I couldn't address things as a vocal coach. I'm not just going to say things to make people happy.
@daveg.6820 Жыл бұрын
@@creativecrewfam Well, that pathetic response reveals that you are also arrogant about your 'expertise'. I wasn't watching for you to make me 'happy'. You could have acknowledged at least one of my many salient points. Average listeners immediately hear Celine Dion's voice but you missed that, except to say that it sounded 'pitchy'. That insensitivity alone disqualifies you from further analysis of Marcelito's performances, or those of Celine, or perhaps those of any other singers. There is more, but don't respond. Save yourself the embarrassment of forcing me to further 'address things' about YOUR performance. Bye again.

When you sing live every note out of a singer’s mouth is not perfect! As a vocal coach you should know that - are you in perfect pitch when you sing live - I doubt it !
