Marcelo first illustrates 2 varying methods of training and competing by playing conservatively, then radically assaulting forward. With his final and 3rd demonstration, he balances risk and security to represent the most efficient mode of sparring.

Isn't going too hard when training a bad idea? There are days when you should be going easy to prevent injury? If you go hard all the time on your fellow training partners its kinda meh too?

Klauze the idea is to push yourself everytime you train, if your training partner is not training as hard as you then you should go harder, that's how they'll learn

Basically, your ego will keep you in your comfort zone and stop you taking risks. Risks that lead to better understanding, learning and improvement.

Euh who was the person sparring with Marcelo Garcia? He was really, really good no? Is he like a ADCC regular or something....? Not saying Marcelo was going 100%, but still to be able to hold your own like that. Awesome.

It was Gianni Grippo. He's one of the top American jiu jitsu players. Won lots at black belt, I guess you could say he's not bad :/

+nunya businezz flexibility is developed MUCH easier than people think. If you dedicate yourself to training flexibility ~30 minutes a day while you are watching TV or something, you will be able to do this in ~3 months, provided you are younger than 40, and not obese.

I don't understand what training at three levels of intensity implies about risk management. Sure, you can be more risky-aggressive or less, and how one should do it depends on the occasion. But awesome, awesome rolling anyway.

Before he was kick off the gym...Marcelo is amazing, a simple and humble man, very respectful and a master in the art of jiu jitsu.. That being said thats why he was expelled from the gym the lack of Marcelo great aspects!
