March 2013 Bison Hunt

Rob was one of the lucky few to draw a 2012/2013 Delta Bison bull permit. We hunted the last week of the season, and after 5 days finally tagged out on a 3&1/2-4&1/2 year old bull. The stalk was prolonged by a cautious cow who got within 20 yards of us. We kept slowly moving forward and waited her out to get to the tree line for an open shot on the bull. Once he stood, it was 10-11 minutes before Rob finally had a clear shot.
