@cowbells4u I believe that noise is made by the compressed air in a cylinder being released, which causes the arms to drop. That noise terrified me for years; wouldn't go near a Hurricane ride and seeing one at the fair would freeze me to the spot in horror XD

SAME it was always my favourite ride to watch and draw as a kid but I was scared if the noise, gonna go on it tonight tho at rye carnival Melbourne Victoria wish me luck!

Fantastic and fun ride for the most part but the force of it pushes you right up against the side of the carriage and you get off feeling really disorientated.

@Assi1980 Why does this ride make that whipping sound? When throwing people in the air, though this one is quieter than other hurracane rides ive heard.. Is it nuematics that cause that scary wierd sound? And I know this ride was heavy as hell to lift in the air..That pole is what about 20 tons..When the ride spins(throwing people) it doesnt move!!! Very sturdy steel..Im inquisitive about these things..LOL

It's a shame that they removed it at the Mackay show eveytime I go i never see the hurricane their it might of broke 😢

I love the way they bring it in for a landing! That's how it's supposed to be done. I wish folks in the US would learn how to do it this way...less wear and tear on the hydraulic motors and pump!

@Snowiethebunny I had 2 kids with me so couldn't wait in the huge line :( And yes we did see the firework/s we wondered if that was supposed to happen, it iddn't look like it was supposed to lol.

Oh wow...thats what I thought pneumatics!!! Boy i wish I could get this ride and set it up in my back yard...But I dont think one guy and his girlfriend can do it alone!!! even though hydraulics lift it into the air, Im sure its to much work for one guy to put together!! ive seen on youtube these rides being set up, and its takes work and 5 or 6 men to do it with cranes...BUMMMER!!! I want one though, for the kids would be nice too!!
