I'm a Yank, but I will say that I have a great deal of respect for H.M.'s military, especially the Royal Navy after having exercised with and against them several times, and having gone in Harm's Way alongside them. @@ticklingoscillators1852 It very clearly means "all those citizens who are not members of the armed forces who 'saw her out with great dignity'". So many things could have gone wrong and didn't. Although the funeral was planned decades ago, the many participants had 10 or fewer days to finalise plans, drop everything and rehearse so that the choreography and timings would perfect. How on earth are they able to synchronise the individual cannon shots in the royal parks some distance away with the tolling of the muffled Big Ben so they happen at the same instant, for example? It makes you wonder why the country can't be governed with the same precision. You couldn't get much more of a contrast between this outstanding recent public event and the universally acknowledged current parliamentary chaos.

A great, great video. Well done. My father JOE HULL became a Grenadier Guardsman in 1937 as part of the third Batt. & served for 7yrs & 109 days. Before going to war in Sept 1939 where he lost his left leg above the knee, one of his duties was guarding the royal family at Windsor Castle which was of course HOME for Elizabeth. He witnessed & had to protect Elizabeth & her younger sister when they were playing in the grounds sometimes riding around on their bikes. After being involved in at least 5 actions with the B.E.F. he spent over 3 & a half years as a P.O.W. mainly in Stalag 8B Poland.

Brilliant!! They did proudly for Her and His Majesty and the British Nation. Where were the Gurkhas? It would have been nice if you had the initual bands names as well. Wonderful job. Thanks for putting this out. They all deserve great credit. God Bless the Queen. God Save and Bless the King. I never expected to feel so affected by the Queen's passing, but I have. A great lady. Duty and service, honour,, humility, Faith and dignity to the end. Respect!! These were British qualities that, as my father, an anglophile, said, kept the British Empire going and were characteristics if true British that made them respected all over the world. Growing up in a very recently post colonial country at that time, I didn't have the same fervor he did for Britain or the monarchy, but by God, you did Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II proud, and my respect for her over the years has increased exponentially. A wonderful lady who embofied all the old British strengths of character, including stoicism and the British stiff upper lip that we grew up recognising and respecting as an intrinsic British quality, and emulating. What a pity we see so little of it in the more recent times, where Britain appears to have gone politically correct, woke and weak. Go back to those old qualities Britain. Relearn about and teach and educate your children on all you had much to be proud of. This week of mourning the Queen and open discussions worldwide about your history, which is three quarters of the world's history via colonialism, should be taught factually and correctly, much as many if ys in the "colinirs" learnt it studying in British based education systems you left us. Thank you for that and I have to admit, many other things I have onky acknowledged lately in life. I guess my father was right lol. I don't look forward to telling him so . God Bless the King.🙏🙏🙏🇱🇰🇰🇪🇨🇦

I watched in awe and wonder at the majestic and staunch display of discipline and training during the funeral ...(must admit , I kept thinking that they're feet must have be killing them by the end and they'd be longing for a cuppa ) But look at that precision and strength and duty after such an incredibly long day ....absolutely bloody marvellous!! You all made her Majesty very proud indeed! 🇬🇧🇦🇺👏❤️😊👏

It must be wonderful to experience that comraderie and be moving together as one while making music. I love the outfits and the marching. They should all be very proud of a job perfectly done. Even thought the plans were in place for when the Queen died, people rushed to London from all around the world and quickly practiced their routines. I could watch this all day. Very uplifting.

Thanks for posting this! I think the “Bearer Party” deserve special recommendations for their most important and central role. The calm, quiet voice of the officer, “Bearer Party, stand still”, or sotto voce guiding their feet with “In, out” (inner / outer feet) to keep the coffin level: all conducted smoothly with meticulous precision. Well done, lads.

The Queen had planned her funeral and this was yet another example of her unerring sense of what was appropriate for the occasion and what an almighty and wonderful send off it was; solomn, poignant, dignified and disciplined, astoundingly beautiful and will never be forgotten, just like our remarkable and gracious Queen.

Incredible, as a french canadian I do now realise how fortunate we are in canada to share a common heritage not only with the old french kingdom but also with the british empire. I'm currently learning music on my own alone at home but hopefully one day I can play in such a majestic band with these iconic uniforms.

I am republican but it is precisely why I mourned with the rest Canada the loss of our Elizabeth II. She was benign but deeply engaged in thoughts about us. When in my mid twenties I stopped in a walk to interview someone in the Prime Minister’s Office to watch the changing of guard. Michel Rochon from the PMO’s, French Canadian variant of myself, came along and surprised me with the assertion he was a never able pass up such beautiful music. I have recalled that statement whenever I ask myself why there is so much French spoken in Ottawa at events involving the Ceremonial Band. I hope Mr. Sam one day will fulfill his dream and play for the Ottawa group or the band of the 22 that presides over the changing at the Citadel in Quebec.

Thank you to everyone for this very impressive presentation. I watched the queen's entire funeral and I don't think I'll ever forget the sound of the drum keeping time and the sight and sound of a marching band is incredible. I don't mean to take the queen's passing lightly, but these men certainly cut a fine figure when in their glory. No wonder the queen was so proud of you. I know there are people who criticize keeping the age-old traditions, but this is one that absolutely must be kept. Again, thank you from America.
