Nice and simple, most flies are overdressed, I find it to be too easy to put more on the hook than less. Partridge being as delicate as it is, there is merit in not stripping off the fluff on the smaller feathers. I got some 125 Dai Rikki hooks but not in # 12 or 14 they are gone along with Bailey's Fly Shop, so it will be the Daichi or TMC version of that hook. Real guides fly quick to tie for a specific hatch that will be here soon enough. In about 100 more days, The drought here in CT is over will, and all our rivers are bank to bank or a little over- Looking good for spring.

I would say 7-8 pheasant tail fibres for the body, by the looks of it.Almost every tier I know peals off the under fiber's off the partridge feather "before" wrapping it forward. I like your fly bur I will choose to do it differently in some ways. that's my choice.
