March LitLand 2023 ~ Help Me Pick A Romance Read in the Comments

Starting our third full round of LitLand together and we go WAY further than I would have guessed.

*Current LitLand Rules*
There are six colors tied to six different genres. Each card I pull advances me across the board and informs which genre I pick from to add to my To Be Read (TBR) pile for the month.
I pull four cards to advance across the board each month.
If I land on a dot, I have to pull a prompt from my Stuck Square cards; I also use these as punishment cards if I haven’t completed one of my books from a previous month. BUT I do allow rollovers, so I essentially give myself two months to get a book read, or else I have to take a punishment. Punishment pulls also don’t help me advance across the board.
If I pull a card with a book on it, I have to go to wherever the genre on the card takes me. I also have to pull a Challenge Card and complete that prompt.
There are also Troll Bridge cards, but I only pull those if I want to cross a bridge or if I land on a square with a rainbow sticker. I have to complete the prompt on that card within the month or I have to take a punishment.
There’s also the Monthly Troll, which is an optional challenge for you and me. I will pull a Troll Bridge card and if I succeed in whatever the challenge is, I can protect myself from punishment in the next month. You’re welcome to play along and take on this challenge with me, but no pressure.
At the end of LitLand I get to treat myself with a book haul. Currently, I’m on a book-buying ban until I read 50 of my owned books or until I beat LitLand again.
Hopefully, this helps keep us all up-to-date on the rules. Sometimes I make tweaks as I go along, but the current rules affecting this month’s game should be listed above.

Go for Slave to Sensation! I really liked Let's Talk about Love. If you enjoy it, you should definitely read Claire Kann's adult romance The Romantic Agenda. It also features an ace heroine, and it's absolutely a blast.

My Darling Duke sounds a little like Tessa Dare's When a Scot Ties the Knot which I liked. So I'm going to vote for that one 😊

Hmmm...I think I tend to go one way or the other rather than a genre hybrid. But I do really like Roshani Chokshi's writing. She's a YA author that's more fantasy but her books tend to have romantic plotlines. I know you were delving into cozy fantasy for a bit there too. I've heard excellent things about Kimberly Lemming's Mead Mishaps series though, which is much more romance specific.

@@TheLitReviewForBooks I've read The Gilded Wolves and it wasn't for me. I'm open to reading more of Chokshi's writing but hesitant. I'll have to check out Kimberly Lemming. I've never heard of that author.
