No one mentions march scopes in the US. Made in Japan handcrafted quality. This 1-10x looks awesome!

Love my Terminus , Joel is a good guy. I want that March but would like the duplex on the bottom vertical to be "split" for better long range use other then that I think it's on the list for upgrading my gas gun optics

I think every manufacturer would like to have a disc that you could slide in and slide out as it’s impossible to keep every customer happy.

That seams like a perfect scope for a SKS. Norinco produced a SKS with a scope rail. Extremely short rail. Because they eject at one o’clock. You need a really short scope.

I have the capped version with this reticle (TR1) and the turret model with DR1 reticle. There just doesn’t exist a better all around 1-10x period. I’ve been spoiled by this company.
@ALEXH386 Жыл бұрын
Which reticle would you recommend for the average user Dr1 or the one with ballistic / wind holds ?
@DMHal01 Жыл бұрын
@@ALEXH386 I sold the DR1 because of the lack of wind holds. I bought the TR1 tree-type with capped turrets because naturally what I found was I was losing time dialing for wind when i could just hold. For hunting purposes and for competitive on the move shooting it just makes more sense.

Dual focal plane scopes are way more expensive/complex to manufacture. There are very few on LPVO's like this, and others that offer dual focal plane (say, the Schmidt & Bender) have lower magnification range (1-8) and cost way more ($5K+). Relative to the competition for this type of scope, March is actually a good deal.

There's no point in these Scopes being First Focal Plane because you can not see the measurements in the reticle until you get past 8 magnification anyway. First focal plane makes a lot more sense if you have a 5 to 25 in which case you might be working at 15 magnification at 300 yards because 25 would bring you in too close to see where your bullets are impacting.
@DMHal012 жыл бұрын
Not true…between 6-10x it’s very usable.
@tsafa2 жыл бұрын
You are not going to use the bullet drop, wind and Mill information in the reticle until you're well past 200 yards. In that case you'll go all the way up to 10x. FFP makes sense on a scope that goes all the way up to 25x because if you're shooting 300 hundred yards you're going to want a dial back to maybe a 14x so you can see where the Bullets are impacting if you're missing. Even at 500 yards you might dial it back so you're not maxed out and you can see where the bullets are going. If you only have 10x you're going to max out even at 100 yards because you still have a wide enough field of view to see where the bullets are going. Only time I use 3x is to find my target or if I'm tracking a Target but I'm not using the information in the reticle to measure.
@DMHal012 жыл бұрын
@@tsafa I use the information in the reticle for ranging and for precision work on a course that has extended ranges. Between 6-10x (for the reasons you mentioned above related to FOV) It depends on how you shoot. If you’re shooting a dynamic 3g course you will definitely use a 1-10x FFP since typical ranges are from 15y to 400y. NO ONE uses a 5-25 in 3G. So I’m not sure what your point is…maybe for your intended purposes. If you’re talking PRS then yes that’s where the 5-25’s dominate. I also use mine on a DMR setup for patrol, and with that comes the training to utilize that particular piece of equipment. Also this isn’t a FFP scope entirely…it’s a Dual Focal.
@prone_wolf8871 Жыл бұрын
Well isn't that why it's dual focal plane....? For the exact reasons you mention?....confused hahaha
@tsafa Жыл бұрын
@@DMHal01 I only use the bullet drop, milgrid and auto-ranging features when I'm in 8x and past 200 yards. Inside of 100 yards I might go to a 3X, but I'm not using any of measuring instruments because all I do is put the aiming point on the target. The only time I have found FFP usualful is if I'm trying to zero in at 25 or 50 yards and my turrents have Mils. Then I'll Zoom to 3x and measure the mill adjustments and apply that measurement to the turrent. It's a nice convenience.
