DUDE! I think you should join the Railroads Online team! You're such a great asset to this game! I know there are other youtubers who play this game and show off the updates, with many more views and subscribers, but you're content is far superior in my opinion! You should ask to join them officially as their marketing person, doing their dev vlogs! lol.

It has gotten much better in recent updates. It can be a challenge single player. But honestly, I do enjoy playing by myself too. Building track, yards, buildings, decorations, configuring trains, loading and unloading trains, etc can be a LOT of work! Especially if you're by yourself. It is easy to get burned out. This is what makes this game stand out to me over the others. While the updates may be extremely slow, they are really good updates that do a lot for the game overall. You can build your own railroad from scratch, you get a fair bit of engines, you can buy as many rolling stock as you want, now with weather impacting your lines to have a reason for the plows, as well as the working knuckle couplers, this game truly has it all. Despite what a lot of people keep saying about RO, I find it to be the most enjoyable to play over Railroader. I can build my own line and change it as I wish as I grow, and I can buy trains that don't feel overpoweredly useless because of the track layout design. Some things I would say to add is a difficulty setting that can increase or decrease your coal/wood and water usage to make the game either easier or hard to fit everyone's "realistic" expectations. Also, I don't know if it is in the works down the line, but adding actual damage to everything would be huge.

This game really does have a lot to offer. But it can also be a ton of work! As for the updates, they are getting better and better and more frequent, about once a month these days. And with each update comes a whole host of goodies, but sometimes, things get broken. There are some bugs, but it is beta, so bugs are to be expected. I do like Railroader too! I enjoyed playing if a few months ago now. But time constraints being what they are, I opted for RRO over Railroader. I will probably take a brake from RRO eventually and might play Railroader. Time will tell. There is a difficulty setting! When you launch the game you can specify the physics and industry difficulty. I have mine set on realistic and hard for the industries. That basically means the industries require more inputs while outputting less. Forces you to run more trains, or longer ones. There is also a setting that came out a few months ago, for the fuel consumption. Set to hard, the fuel burn very quick and the water steams off faster, requiring more fueling and watering stops. As for damage, I'D LOVE THAT! As well as a cost to repair damage. Now that we have the inspection pits, it would fit very well. But I doubt it will be coming any time soon. I'd imagine the dev team would need to remodel every engine and every car with various levels of damage. Possible, but unlikely to happen anytime soon, I'd suspect. Hey! @@EvilOneGames I've played Railroader both on my own save and a friends', and we barely have 1/4 of the whole railroad unlocked and already are overwhelmed with the jobs. Not so much having to do all the switching, but the fact that we start at 6am and are still running stock here and there at 10pm or later. Just to get the jobs done. We never get to take a break and are trying our best to get a-b without derailing the trains because we are doing near 50mph where we should only be doing 30-35 just trying to make time. Very stressful and makes the game seem like it is pushing people to push the game to friends to fill up sessions to make it easier. I like RRO because if I want to run a triple or quadruple header up a mountain with 50 cars in tow just to load a single industry then I can just enjoy the ride, in Railroader I feel like I have to have a double header to be able to get up to speed quicker to get where I need to go faster. It really feels like work. And that's giving the fact that Railroader has A.I. that can run trains for you. Even with that if feels overwhelming to get everything done. Loving the series so far and seeing you running M.O.W. trains too, gives the playthrough more grounding with all the other roleplay going on. Can't wait to see a rotary plow at work in Alaska.

Ahoi there Evil One, fist, just try the bell on the new loco. It is different than the others if I remember right. I like it much more, because it is not causing my ears to ring for 5 minutes after using it^^ Not your classic bell sound I would call it I am wondering, if the items you buy now spawn in your vicinity, is the old spawning track now deletable? I may be standing quite separated with this my humble opinion but... I know most people do not like to much groundwork and like overgrown track and the rails low to the ground, but I like my rails up on at least half a meter of groundwork. Makes it easier for me to clear light surface irregularities without changing the elevation and it's just a look I am very much used to and like. So having the spawn track as low as it is always made things complicated for me (laying track over it either didn't work or obstructed spawning, so I the only solution was an elevation change). What I like about the update are the new couplers, makes things easier for single players like me (even if I am more used to buffers and chains, but that is just a regional thing I guess^^) . On the new loco, the wine-red color scheme is my favourite (happy you choose it even if it was just for a test), I like her chuffs, whistle and bell and the fact that she is quite speedy even if not that powerful^^ And of cousre, a round roundhouse. So much appreciation for this one and the new turntable, cause I never managed to build one myself that would look decent in my eyes. Yeah, I did hear that the bell was worth a ring! Sadly, I found out from discord after I had edited this video about that change. As far as the spawn track being removeable, I'm not sure. Something to test for sure. I wouldn't be surprised if it was not on the existing maps. But future maps, I bet there won't be any track, or very little track that would removeable. Those new knuckle couplers are great! Very easy to use. No more double links! Thank you for watching and commenting! 👍

By using the rerail. You have dev speed like Extended gave us. So with no more Extended we still have the speed via rerail. That was all i needed it for. Didnt care much about cheating in money. Just speed.

I do see a lot of Hate vids on you tube on everything they do in the updates. Guess they would complain if you hung them with a brand new rope. As I said before I like to play single player and want to enjoy it but find a lot really requires more than 1 player to play it with out driving me nuts. I hope they try to take single players more seriously.

There has been some negativity towards this game and the dev team. I typically don't get into the politics of it all, or pretend to know people. But there was some pretty bad blood between some of the devs, and those who were supposed to leave, did. But just because they left (or were forced to leave) have not stayed quiet. For me, its a non-issue. I honestly do not care about the politics. I care about a good game that is fun to play. I care about a dev team that listens to their audience, fixes bugs, and improves the experience. I play this game because I enjoy this game, the people I play with, and my audience. As I said in your other post, this game is a lot of fun, but it is also a ton of work. And having friends help, makes the experience better. But sometimes, I enjoy playing alone too! Hang in there. These new updates are a great step forward! Thank you again!

That would be nice, to give the player the option to turn features on and off. But honestly, I don't think that is a priority of the dev team. It is a sandbox game, the World meant to be almost wholly created by the player. I would like a mix of both, sandbox and built world ready to play.

@@EvilOneGames I have no problems with been 100% sandbox game i'm all for that but spawning rolling stock anyways you see fit seems way to cheaty for me or anyone flying around is like what's the point of setting up waypoints if you can just fly i get it for building but we all know everyone will start to use it for everything it's bad enough that they put in those damn creaty firewood racks that spawn in firewood.

@@boomeraus0073 I honestly agree with you 110%! If we didn't have it, it would be much more realistic. It should be an option to enable it. To turn flying off/on depending on if you're in building mode or not. Or to have water towers that can be placed full, or wood depots that are full when spawned, it is cheating. I also remember when the devs turned off full water towers and enabled water usage back before the spline update. Everyone was really pissed off! Their Betsy was stranded somewhere with no way to move it. They had to use a hand car or rerail it back to a built water tower just to get it to move again. That is much more realistic, but the push back the devs received was really overwhelming. It only lasted a week or two. I enjoyed it, but they had to concede. Having the option? I bet most would turn it on and leave it on. But yeah, I do agree with you, unfortunately, I don't think we will get it.

@@EvilOneGames Oh well Shit happens i guess but don't get me wrong the team at RRO are doing a great job after the mess that was left for the newer team. At this point i think they have rewritten almost if not all the code for this game.
