Ashley, as long as you have the energy, I am here for all your wrap ups. They are the videos I look forward to all month

I'm planning to read Throne of Glass at some point, so I'm glad for the advice re: Assassin's Blade. I'm really excited to read How to Solve your Own Murder - I'm glad you enjoyed it

Have you read “ The Frozen River” by Ariel Lawhon? I like most of what you find to be a 5 star book, so when I started devouring this 400+ pages I thought of you! Isn’t that the weirdest thing ever? Ha! Historical Fiction, badass woman, great mystery, well written… it’s like you are traveling back in time and watching all this happen! As a librarian I read all new books to have a better idea what to recommend, but I’ve been really disappointed for months now on the new releases I’ve read. The Frozen River, we got it back in Dec, not sure when released, but came back to our library in April, which means it’s been traveling the entire county for 3+ months❤ It took a while, but the wait was soooo worth it, oh! And the audiobook is awesome! I’m done 😂

I’m currently reading this right now and can attest to this. I believe that it is sooo underrated and don’t see anyone on Booktube talking about it.

Hi Ashley! Love that you're reading the Thone of Glass series, I've just started it too and planning to finish it this year so its great to know I can follow along with you on it! Do you think you're going to do the tandem read? I'm in two minds!

I feel the same about nightwatching and fourth wing!

I am one of the ones who did enjoy Fourth Wing. However, I think it’s more so the nostalgia of getting back into reading in 2010ish when we had all the dystopian and fantasy books poppin then. I have nothing for the romance in it, but the dragons I thoroughly enjoyed and wish it wouldn’t have been a romance at all.

Honestly, I was on a quest to find a book reviewer with taste similar to mine, and I just searched for "march wrap up" videos and watched them randomly, clicking off when a person mentioned that they loved the book I hated or hated the book I loved. You disliked the fourth wing, and I subscribed to you immediately. Finally someone with braincells!

Ok I’m so sorry I know this is completely unrelated to this video but I just had the strangest experience with the book Kill For Me Kill For You ever and I just wanted to share it lol. I had the physical book of the month copy but I also downloaded a kindle copy. It’s a weird thing with me that just like how some people listen to audiobooks and read physically, I instead like to switch between reading on my kindle and physically (weird I know). But I somehow downloaded the UK version which I don’t understand how but I somehow did and the two books are SO different. Like I was flipping through them and I was shocked. Entire parts of the book are cut or changed, chapters happen at different points and there was a whole plot twist in the UK kindle version where SPOILER ALERT Ruth’s husband Scott is actually alive which doesn’t seem to happen at all in the book of the month edition to my knowledge. This is just so strange to me and I was wondering if you as an expert book connoisseur 😂 knew if this is common with different versions of books?

I agree so much with your favorites! I really liked Happiness Falls and thought the ambiguity was done really well. I just read Here We Go Again last week and loved the emotional range of the story. I cried and LOLd several times. Joe and Remy were amazing characters.

Oh wow, so happy to see you enjoyed Happiness Falls! It's been on my high priority TBR for several months now but I started seeing mixed reviews. I tend to align with your tastes, so you've reinvigorated my interest in it!

Definitely recommend the audiobooks for the Thursday Murder Club series. I probably would not have finished them if I didn't have the narration. Also, I'm glad to hear how much you enjoyed Here We Go Again. I've been debating pre-ordering this bc I'm on a bit of a budget but Alison Cochran's writing has always captured me in the past. I'll definitely be buying it now!

Another one that I loved this month, and by love I mean a 4 star because it reminds me of how I felt about The Last Word by Taylor Adams, is Everyone is Watching by Heather Gudenkauf, the audio is fun, but I agree with Gabyreads about the challenges, they seemed like they don’t fit the narrative, idk she talked about it yesterday and described my feelings. I still enjoyed it and gave it a 4 star because like The Last Word, it ended up being something really crazy, and never suspected that was going to be the ending 😂 I like Heather Gudenkauf’s books TheOvernight Guest is my favorite. That’s it! 😂

I completely agree with you regarding Someone Watching. It was so boring but I kept reading because I bought it rather than it being a library book. I was so glad when I finished it.

While I did like the ending of Listen For The Lie, I did think halfway through if there was one more chapter where this girl sits with a random person, drinks a random beverage, and tells them she doesn’t remember what happened I was going to scream. I swear that same exact scene happened at least 5 times. 😂😂😂

I’m so excited to pick up Happiness Falls now! And I must be the only person still interested in starting TOG that watches your channel because I got so bummed when you said all the TOG content would be spoilery 😢 If you see this, could you maybe let me know without spoilers why you were glad you did Assassin’s Blade first? I was excited to find out your opinion on that but didn’t watch since I’m avoiding spoilers.
@ashleyslittlelibrary6 ай бұрын
Oop sorry! I’ll balance non spoilers & spoilers in the future. I was glad I read The Assassin’s Blade 1st because you get to know the MC really well, see her struggle, and see her be a badass. She’s in a bit boring in TOG, so I was glad I already had that foundation to be interested in & care about her, otherwise I may have not been as interested in the series if I started with TOG!
@kerisbookishcorner28646 ай бұрын
@@ashleyslittlelibrary that would be awesome but you don’t have to if you prefer to do those with spoilers, I can always come back once I read it. Thanks that’s kind of how I was leaning so it’s good hearing that’s what you liked about starting there. Maybe this will just motivate me to read a book each month or so also!

i am on Heir of Fire, and i have read Throne of Glass twice and its the worst of the series so far. I am reading assassins' blade next (idk why i am reading it 4th but thats what happened lol) and i am also shocked i've gone this long without spoilers.

The fact that you did not like fourth wing proves that you have taste in reading and not a newbie like most people who liked this horrible book. Also the second book is so much worst. Atleast first part is still okay but second book gives true reflection that author did not have any content.
