That was grand! I used to have that same model of Rosemarkie Harp…. I like the way you’ve put a strap on yours to make it easier to hold and play. Thanks a million! 😃

Dear David - we would need to watch our step, and make sure we don’t stumble on the dead trees and dry branches all over the place (which nearly happened to me here!) 😄 I can’t thank you enough for your beautiful words and amazing support as always. Thank you for being so kind, for taking the time to listen and for being so appreciative! It means the world to me 🙏 lots of love from Belgium ❤️

I kept a copy of a "Pictish" Scot engraving with an instrument very very close to being like the one your playing. I have to say it's a good replica of an original ancient lyre/harp.
@mariannebouvettemusic3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much Jack! Ardival did an amazing historical investigation work to stay true to the spirit of ancient instruments. They made this harp based on Pictish stone carvings of early harp players which you can find in the area of the Rosemarkie village on the Black Isle. Apparently this very lean design is one of the very first harp models in Scotland, and in Europe

This is lovely. Could you please tell me where you got the strap on your Rosemarkie. I have the same harp and have been looking everywhere for a suitable strap for it. Many thanks, Flick
@mariannebouvettemusic Жыл бұрын
Hey, I just bought a basic guitar strap for it a long time ago, you will find a beautiful selection at Ernie Ball’s!
@flickmerauld9858 Жыл бұрын
@@mariannebouvettemusic ah thanks. Actually since I asked this, I’ve bought a ukelele strap and tied it to the harp (I didn’t want to have a stud fitted to the wood). Thanks again 😊

Love the piece and the harp. Is this a ardival or a replica of a medieval harp?
