I remember playing the trumpet part on the clarinet for the veterans day parade. Band director just put it in front of me and told me to practice it with my brother who played the trumpet and was helping our tiny band during the parade. Real fun times 💀 (I had only ever practiced the clarinet part and had no idea what i was doing for half the parade)
