All of these bands did very well. It is unfortunate that the network cut some of the performance short by breaking away in the middle of a performance. Those students worked hard to be there and deserved the recognition that NBC didn't seem to think was important.

Cutting to commercial break during Avon, the reigning national champion, is such a slap in the face! Especially since those kids PAID to be there. Bet they didn't do that to any of the celebrities they were paying.

the bands do have 75 seconds to perform, once they cross the line the timer starts and if they go over, unfortunately the cameras will cut away which does suck. go umass!

The only reason that this Parade is held is to allow NBC to broadcast and sell commercial time. The network gets screwed for the broadcast rights and they need that ad revenue
