This is what makes Britain Great. As always makes me very proud to be half English and Italian 🏴🇮🇹. (Even if this is just a rehearsal it's still very impressive) To all are armed forces home and abroad all the very best wishes stay safe and well and have a great day for our majesty the Queen and the whole royal family can't wait to see all the events happening on this very important day and next couple of days to come. Ooh i just love it all. The pounding in the feet on the pavement i can feel in my heart through my phone to Australia where I now reside. London born and bred I'm still British through and through, so is my 94yr young mum who lived though the London blitz. Can't get enough of the marchers. Any British or Commonwealth Regiment can perform “Public Duties” a few months ago you would have seen the Royal Horse Artillery of Canada or even the Royal Malay Rgt. So the blokes in the hairy hats are not Royal Guards but members of the Brigade of Guards and with the Blues and Royals and if memory serves form the Household brigade.

An awful lot of whinging about the dressing/drill etc which would be understandable if this was the finished article but it was a rehearsal for goodness sake, and one of many at that. 😏 However the bands were already well rehearsed for their parts and sounded superb, I loved the choice of music and also the pipes, which don’t feature as often as the other instruments so enjoy while we can. My grateful thanks to the camera person for posting this video☺️

Never in my time would anyone get near a parade ground with a gut overhanging their belt ! A bandsman is a secondary role in the forces, firstly you a a soldier / sailor / airman. Clearly standards are slipping in the British forces.

It is called "Sarafand" composed by G .Willcocks DOM Irish Guards. Try to listen to the whole march , it has a great trio section.

Blue represents that of the Irish Guards, Red of the Coldstreams, White of the grenadiers, Green and White of the Welsh and the Scot’s don’t have one.

adam D theres 5 Regimental Bands, followed by the Pipes and Drums of the 1st Bn. Scots Guards, the Drums and Pipes of the 1st Bn. Irish Guards, plus the 3 Corps of Drums from the Coldstream Guards, Irish Guards, and Grenadier Guards. About 300 musicians on parade.

@@delvinrodriguez3341 no pipes and drums of the 1st Battalion Scots Guards, just one piper from the Scots Guards, and no corp of drums of the 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards. Im aussuming your thinking about the company drummer of Nijmegen Company. Unless you’re talked to someone in the Household Division then you know everything. It’s not like the 1980s where the Grenadiers Scots and Coldstream had 2nd Battalions. The Scots Guards Pipes and Drums may attend but it’s to late now. Grenadiers are on exercise. Due to a decreasing army the Guards are in a bind with combat and ceremonial.

GG Corps of Drums, It's hard to see as their plumes would be on the left sides, so I guessed they were present. From a pom in 🇦🇺 at least the various regiments can perform and deliver at trooping the color . I saw Elizabeth 2 in 1977 silver jubilee trooping ceremony she was on a black horse in militay uniform. I have Photos I took and will remember her that way . Unfortunately they have been trashed by event's by Andrew ,Harry,and surrounding Diana death .Charles leaves a lot to be desired. And back then the police on duty didn't carey military style heavy guns on them on there shoulder. Britain was better then.

The music's great but the drill is atrocious. Dressing and arm swing are all over the place. A few short years back lack of time to practice due to the tempo of operational commitments would have been a valid excuse. Not any more. Some of them could do with shedding a few lb as well, or would that not be considered 'inclusive' in these PC times? Hope the GSM sorts it out before the big day.

If the ranks march with their rifles sloped over their right shoulders, as they do sometimes, their left arms will swing in unison with those of the officers.
