Purdue marching band member here. That was insanely tasteless of our football team to do. It was honestly shocking to see that carried out by the team representing our own school. Apologies on their behalf, and great work.

Why did Purdue run out during “Hail To The Orange”? Then they did warmups straight into the way of the color guard! I know their head coach was a former Illini coach. That’s just messed up!

I really hope a letter of apology was sent from purdue to the band. Running out during the band performance was rude and unnecessary. The kicker went out and wanted to start warming up when the band went to the south end to start the 3 in 1 and got in their way. I've been going to games since 1988 and this is the first time a team could not wait for the band to finish. RUDE!

As a member of the Purdue marching band, I am SO SORRY. This disrespectful behavior doesn't represent our university at all. The Marching Illini did a great job handling this awful behavior, and delivered an amazing halftime show. Respect.
