Such a thrill and wonderful memories for all the participating schools, their fans, coaches and particularly, the young men who make up the teams. Win or lose, they should all be proud of what they accomplished. 15 years down the line, they'll impress folks by revealing they played in March Madness (heck, they'd impress me today). And realize what a major step that was and what awesome memories were created. Congratulations to all the teams that are apart of March Magic!

+MrCaliSports On the surface, it looks far worse than it actually was. All three of those teams saw massive changes to win more championships. The 2006 Heat compared to the 2012/2013 LeBron Heat were different group. Much different. Lakers ended up winning with Kobe/Gasol/Odom/Bynum/Fisher well after their 3-peat. The Spurs' last title was the Kawhi Leonard show, big difference from what it used to be.
@sneakywalrustoucher11848 жыл бұрын
As far as postseason, yes it is definitely better. However, the NCAA regular season does not compare to the NBA's regular season. In the NBA regular season you have history being made a lot during the regular season which is very entertaining to watch.

The pain of the game won't go away until we win our next title. But I love the ending to that video, because it was symbolic of the finish. They show UNC dominating, then hitting the three with our fans cheering like we won it all (because let's face it, had it gone to OT, we would have won), but what's this? Jenkins hits the game-winner.

+Bill Flaherty Wait, what? Wisconsin got one of the best spots in the video. They at least did right by that Koenig game winner. Wisconsin's games were pretty mediocre. The game vs. Pitt was one of the ugliest things I've seen in a long time. The other most highlight-worthy plays from the Xavier game were Koenig hitting the tying three (Which would have seemed repetitive to also show) and Showalter taking the charge, which I admit I wish would've been in there. Vs. Notre Dame the most highlight-worthy play by Wisconsin was Vito Brown's 3 to give them the lead late, but that wouldn't have made sense to show because we ended up losing that game. Honestly, I'm surprised that they didn't know Notre Dame's steal (foul) on Hayes to take the lead. Imo they did Wisconsin just fine here.

This may go down as the most impressive tourney run by a team maybe ever. They beat UNC Kansas Oklahoma and Miami. Blew OU and Miami off the court. Shoot more than 58% from the floor in 5 of their 6 games. Think about that. They shattered records. Shattered them. And played the sort of defense every coach in the world tries to get his players to play. Nova has now entered the elite. They were good. Now they're great.

^ Yeah totally agree with that. There were an insane amount of ridiculous buzzer beaters and they ran through all of them right at the beginning when usually they wait until the solo near the end of the song and run them with the commentator calls. That would have been perfect for this tourney but for some reason they went away from that. Hope they go back to it in future years.

@penncrow19698 жыл бұрын
+Rick Manit I know it is a top topic in Philly whether or not to root for Nova if you are an alum of another philly school. But for me, the Big 5 operates differently than a regular conference. One school's success do not directly affect another because they are out of conference games (Lasalle/St Joe exemption). As a Nova alum, I root for St Joes during their run with Nelson or Temple during the Chaney years. Also as a PSU Nittany Lions alum, I will not root for any other B10 schools regardless. It is just a different dynamic.

Actually, when you live in Philly, Nova is polarising. Never liked Rollie, never liked the Fieldhouse, always rooted for the other 4. Jay Wright has made me like this team. He's very Main Line, but not obnoxious-- not an easy task. They just didn't have the depth, Arcidiacono, or Ochefu this year. Just shows this tournament will eat you alive if anything's missing. Here's hoping Sixers draft Hart with one of their fifty picks.
