4:50 Fun fact from the adventurer’s bible, Falin is nearsighted. Her eyes may appear to be closed, but she’s actually squinting all the time in an effort to see better.

Oh that is interesting. At some point I'll sit down and read through the manga as well. I like all the BTS pages the mangaka make. It's something I've learned to really appreciate about the medium over just watching the anime. I'll have to hurry and read it, though! Until the next adventure!

Welcome back! And yeah Studio Trigger really popped off with this episode. Also I'm not sure if you caught it or not, but I'm pretty sure Falin's comment of "raspberries and grasshoppers aren't poisonous" implies she also eats the grasshoppers. At the very least, deep in my heart Falin was picking up live grasshoppers and popping them in her mouth like the weirdo (affectionate) she is.

Yeah! I was going to keep that in, but I whittled it down to better focus on Marcille getting to the dungeon. Either way, it was so nice to get such a good sequence of flashbacks to better propel the party's relationship, such as Falin being the thread that ties Laios to Marcille. I'm constantly amazed at how well this show lays out the foundation of good character development, like a fancy table spread before a feast. I'm glad we got an extended scene with Falin, too. Until the next adventure!

This was such a banger of an episode. The slower pace of Marcille's story about her days at school contrasted with the heart-pumping action of the Undine fight is incredible. Trigger really know how to give each part of the story equal weight.

Indeed! It's not something I really talk about, but I am always impressed with how "full" each episode is. There will sometimes be two separate plots in an episode, and thinking back, I couldn't tell you which one was in which episode because they feel so complete that I'm usually convinced they were two complete episodes. The pacing for roughly 22 to 23 minutes of animation and storytelling and what they can squeeze out of it is truly incredible!

Thank you so much! I've really been enjoying the whole reaction process (as I'm still fairly new to it), so it's really encouraging to hear that I can help elevate the experience for others in some way! I hope you enjoy the rest of the reactions. I'm editing the day away as we speak, trying to finish up the last of the episodes!

Glad to see continuity in the series, well let's just say there's a lot more where that came from

Welcome back. Hope everything's Ok. Series S01 completed a month ago and I already miss it.

I definitely understand that feeling! Not so much because the show is finished, but because it'd been over 3 months since I had allowed myself to sit down and react to it. I'll try to wrap up recording the rest of the season in the next few weeks!

Thank you! I've always heard people while I was doing One Piece, and even to some extent, Delicious in Dungeon say that catching up or finishing the show leaves a hole in them, and while I don't know that exact moment, I feel I got a glimpse of it in the last 3 months. But we are back, and there will be no more 3 month drought!
