In your analogy with the chocolate cake recipe, I feel that one thing is not 100% correct. If you say that the orchestrator is the one baking the cake it means that the orchestrator is actually responsible for executing the tasks rather than just triggering or orchestrating them. A better analogy would be a chef telling his students what and how to bake the cake.
