Alessandra...Oh, how I love this song, performance, and scenery. The lyrics are wonderfully poetic. In the chorus, the dancing rhythm seems to grab me with Marco's rapid word delivery. That is musically genius to me. And, yes, I love the idea of comparing the beauty of Sicily with the beauty of a beautiful Sicilian woman. It adds both a sensual feel and romantic feel to the song. Another brilliant poetic device. The other thing I love about this is the way the video stays very close to the music track. Using simple scenes of Sicily is enough. I especially thought the bike ride down the winding highway with cliffs on both sides. It made it look like he was flying through nature. And, as the video remains simple in format, the music also stays in a simple folk tradition of Sicily in both rhythm and instrumentation. The guitar playing is perfect and having the accordion adds to the feel. Oh, and I love the tone and delivery of Marco's voice. He sounds sincere and honest. Please forgive my rambling on and on, but I get excited about good music and the creative spirit behind it all. I will definitely share this with my family and friends.
