You know, Marco Polo isn't the most famous explorer, at least not in the US, but his explorations were very important to history. His accounts of Asia is what inspired people like Christopher Columbus to search for alternate routes to there. In fact, Christopher Columbus had a copy of Marco Polo's book on the ship with him during his initial journey.

+All Omen I live in the US and I only know as much about him as I do because I chose to do a report on him in 4th grade. There wasn't a single history class I took from grades 1-12 that taught about him in detail. My favorite thing about him was that when he was asked on his death bed by a priest (or it might have been the pope, I don't remember) to admit that the stories he told about Asia were made up, his response was (though it was probably in Italian), "I did not tell half of what I saw".

Technically a properly functioning TARDIS can look like anything, the only reason that the Doctor's TARDIS looks like a police box is because it's chameleon circuit is broken. A TARDIS with a functioning chameleon circuit could appear as almost anything desired.

One time at a ski resort I was on a chair lift with two of my friends on we were shouting things at the people skiing below us. My friend shouted "MARCO!!!" And the skier was like "POLO!!!" A few skiers later my friend shouted "MARCO!!!!" And the guy below us was like "NO!!!!" Side note: when my friend shouted "RED ROBINS" the guy below said "YUM!!!"
