Step 1 is getting a tittle. I used a title recovery place in Florida. They will run a tittle search, and give you a Florida tittle with your NJ address. Once you get your title in the mail, you will need to get insurance (try Geico). Once you have you FL title an insurance you can go to DMV to get it registered. It will look like you bought the car in FL, and are registering it in NJ. Go during off peak days and hours, because it will come down to how much they want to help you. Take pictures on the vehicle and and of the vin#. The hardest part will be trying to enter the vehicle vin because it’s so short. I was lucky that the lady that helped me figured out a way to enter the vehicle in the system without getting an error message on the vin. It took three tries, but she made it work. If I had the wrong agent that day I probably would of been unsuccessful. A plus is you will not need to pay NJ taxes because you already own the vehicle when you get the FL title. I’m have seen three mini trucks around the neighborhood so people are getting them registered. Good luck, here is the link to the title place: titlekingexpress.com/
