This is how I learned to play songs and compose new ones on my nylon string acoustical Guild. Fingertips, no nails. So many patterns, and of course combining picking with strumming, and all the things that make it fun. I only play my work for myself, sometimes I share. It's more therapeutic than performance.
@rydellgarciaАй бұрын
would you recommend using nylon strings instead of steel strings?
@DavidVealАй бұрын
@@rydellgarcia I would recommend trying both. I like the feeling and the sound of my guitar in general. And then the nylon strings have a wonderful sound to me. I know a lot of people who have both. But I can only afford one guitar.

Hello Marco from the US. I'm already at this stage in my playing but I like visiting your channel. Even though I'm already at this level, I take away something fresh from you every time. Excellent tutorial. If you had added the chord charts when you start the finger picking from 6:12 onwards that would have been helpful but then it was smart not to do so as it forces beginners to commit the chords and sequence to memory before focusing on the finger style.
