Yes, but it doesn’t cause any tuning or intonation problem. Brian changed his after 40 years…

The strings in the holes are lower.

@@MarcoGDiMarco Curiously, mine is less marked and if you make a bend in the middle of the neck you notice a small snag of the string and a clicking sound. I think I'll have to polish it gently so it doesn't snag.

The pinging from the zero fret wouldnt be amplified since its on the other side of your finger. Only audible when playing it unplugged.
