As another commenter pointed out, this is music-centric channel, it is the reaction of an opera singer; thus, it is only natural for him to focus on the musical aspect of this trailer rather than the character death. After all, he may not even play Genshin, and so the revelation of this scene may have no relevance to him whatsoever.

It's funny how Marco is much more attentive to the music in the trailer than to what's happening in the trailer itself. But hey, that's why we're all here, right?

After watching the trailer last night, I accidentally came across a lore theory reddit thread saying how the plot of Fontaine will most likely reference mother harlot and the beast from the book of revelations with the beast eventually devouring her. This thread was from a month ago. Skip to the present with Neuvillette apparently giving Furina her final trial and those theories suddenly proving to be quite accurate now. That's pretty cool. Also, I can already tell Charlotte's theme is going to be one hell of an earworm when her proper trailer releases. XD

Starting off ominous, then went to mischievous, to joyful, and then bam everybody is dead! They sure know how to string you along, manipulating your emotions and not giving the chance to fully soak in one before going to the next. Quite the rollercoaster ride that trailer was. Oh and almost totally unrelated, back when the movie version of the Phantom of the Opera came out, my sister was obsessed with it. After getting sick and tired of it (anything will when you constantly deal with it), I just playfully made a little parody in the head. I called it Phantom of the Oprah and the setting was clearly on Oprah's set for her old show. It still amuses me, actually.

I also got just a crowd of goosebumps on my back from the piano at the end. Right every time I listen, it's like the first time. It's incredibly sensual and incredibly beautiful...And sad. There's a doggie at the end in the background ran! Show the doggie! It's such a charm!

As much as I want it too, they’ll never do that in Genshin. They literally added an easy mode for the weekly bosses man, Genshin is hoyoverse’s baby mode game cashcow game. We’ll never get anything harder than abyss that isn’t timed like abyss or much more fun than abyss either. The story might get a little darker but it’ll never go that far. :(

the fact that Hoyomix team is using some elements like Organs here or Neuvillette's trailer and also in other trailers using lullabies in a different way than normally they've been used in other mediums, most likely horror titles, is really amazing. I always appreciated and enjoyed them more in this form than always showing it as a horrifying or devious, devilish vibe..

This isn’t the first time the organ was used in Fontaine I noticed is often used with Nuevilette (during the cutscene at the end of 4.0 and his character trailer) which fits him perfectly imo since he’s a powerful yet mysterious character I also love that it seems they’ve taken inspiration from the French Revolution

What I've noticed in Genshin the music leans more towards opera/orchestral music while in Honkai Star Rail is more EDM. Even if there are moments where they use EDM, is not for too long before they shift it to another instrument.

Well, yes, because one is medieval Fantasy and therefore older genres of music and the use of Latin and other ancient languages in songs. And the other is Sci-fi, modernity, therefore newer genres and the use of English in songs. Hoyoverse are very meticulous about details, in genshin and HSR, each nation and planet even has its own written language that can even be deciphered. The Hilichurls language is generally a whole real simple non-existent language that can be translated by communicating with native speakers and reading books.

Usually trailers are more on the good to nice scale in terms of hype for be, but this one is different. I am not often hyped for the story as much as other people, but they got me. Even rewatching it with you and friends again, makes me very excited! Maybe it is because it has a wide spectrum of emotions in music and topics? From epic, to cheerful, to mysterious, to threatening and it cuts off with Furina's hat falling. Some of these potential answers I would not have noticed without you. Thank you!

Oh hey, I don't know how requests work with you, I'm sure you have like a thousand, and it might be like patron based or something, if so, sorry if this is rude. I was going to ask, I know you already listened to Serpent devours the Horizon from Bravely Default, but I just watched your blinded by the light(ff13) video recently and that got me thinking about basic/main battle themes for games, and Conflict's Chime(Bravely Default's main battle theme) always stuck out to me as incredibly exceptional, even for a Square Enix game.(if you do decide to pick it up keep an eye out for the fancy longer version, they play a simplified version in game which is still fantastic, but is cut to lend itself better to looping)

I dont think the Hydro Sovereign will be taken down that easily. Moreso I think he was made to play a part in some sort of grand master plan without his knowledge- and maybe even against his will. I'm more worried about Navia, who is SEEN directly falling into the water and then it cuts and we hear a splash.

I wonder which direction they will go with the boss theme here because it's like this otherwordly being, that shouldn't be here.. We haven't gotten an abyss based boss before except the marana boss in the aranara quest, and the music for that sounded really different than the usual genshin music, really eerie and unsettling and with electronic elements

For me it doesn’t feel like Neuvillette is going to die, but rather what feels like is that Focalors, or maybe Furina, is saying goodbye to Neuvillette. That’s just my guess based on what I’ve seen and the context surrounding the story.

Hmm I think the one who going to die is the Hydro Archon, she is sentenced to death, Nuevi said in end of 4.1, only by the death of Archon he can retrieve the full power of Ancient dragon Lord, which allow him to save fountain from Primodial sea, Fuculors saying farewell to Nuvie before she die.

A note when Furina says, “Farewell, Neuvillette. I hope you’ve enjoyed the part you’ve played these past 500 years.”, I think that’s Furina saying goodbye in the face of her impending doom. What a lot of this seems to foreshadow is the Masquerade of the Guilty has been Furina all along, who’s hidden her true self as she sets things in motion to die and give Neuvillette his full power back, since we know from the lore that the Archons possess stolen powers from the Dragon Soverigns, and we know that Neuvillette and Furina have known each other a very long time. It’s a farewell to him because she knows what saving Fontaine takes, no matter how scary that may be to face.

I like how the music of the trailer goes from "The end is coming" to "The end is here, fall into despair" The traveler is only shown once as if to tell us that we will be unable to do anything but accept Fontaine and Furina fate. (Of course, no one will die because Hoyo won't dare)
