In regards to her relation with Swain, she didn't kill him but she's the one who cut off his arm. Swain then as he was dying had the vision with the crows and Raum, and then survived went back to Noxus to overthrow Boram Darkwill

The voice lines shown were really chill imo, but she also has some where you can clearly feel her anger and pain. One of her quotes when she uses her R for example "Remember the Placidium!" and how she calls the noxians "Tyrants", with tangible disdain in her voice or "Bury them in Noxus. This ground will not have them"

If you remember correctly, swain loses his arm during the invasion of ionia, which leqds him to find the demon Raum. Irelia is the one that cut his arm, but she didnt kill him.

Irelia was one of my first champions before they did her grand rework. Between her personality ingame and skins, this music she's always been a champion I played okay at. Id also reccomend Lissandras theme and the music for ARAM Howling Abyss Theme or Butcher's Bridge from 2015. Fantastic and older pieces done by them.

I think when It comes to Irelia's music, the two words I would have is "light" and "bold." the melody on the strings are great at giving the impression of floating around in this lighting fast dance, while the drums and bass keep time and push things forward. Also I love how you've found just another nobody's voice line compilations. they're well put together.

This theme holds such a special place in my heart. To this day I consider it my favourite piece of music I've ever heard. I've always loved Irelia, but this theme was the first piece of music I put on after a.. not so great moment in life, and it quite literally moved me to tears; being reminded that such beauty exists in our world in the form of music and story. I've been following along this series for about a year now and I have been hoping that you'd react to Irelia's theme one day. Thank you SO much for this. I love the sudden and abrupt ending. It feels to me like the culmination of a lot of feelings, with this HUGE swelling of strings. There’s also a sort of sadness/excitement to me that it resolves in a place of huge tension

Irelia is *very* difficult to use. Not in terms of figuring out what you're meant to do -- that's super easy -- but actually having the mechanics to pull it off at high APM? That's insanely difficult.

Lore wise she's fine, banger song too, but her voice lines are cringy and edgy in my eyes. She has a very pretentious attitude, is constantly talking about her affinity with nature or whatever, and literally regards Noxian's as sub-human animals for conquering nations, when Ionia is only inhabited by humans like herself specifically because humans decided to conquer it, while preaching about being one with the land or whatever. She's a hypocritical narcissistic racist who barely shows respect to anyone. Now if these were intentional character flaws to add depth to her character, that'd be fine, especially in a story setting, but that isn't how it comes off at all, especially in an in-game setting. I listen to her lines in game and just roll my eyes. I mean if it was just a handful of her lines it'd be fine but it's the majority of them. I also just feel like the voice actress didn't fit the lines very well either but that's just me. "I've never killed a person, just a lot of Noxian's."

Hey Marco, I rarely recommend you a piece, because there are so many other recommendations, but if there was one you simply have to listen to its "Kara Main Theme" from Detroit Become Human. It's the first ever piece that made me cry, it would suit well for a "guess the character" video. But if not, I will roughly explain her character here: Set in 2037, Kara is an Android that was bought by a man, who is a drug addict and verbally and physically abuses his daughter. Kara breaks her protocol and flees together with the girl (the Music plays in this sequence), and they develop a Mother-Daughter relationship. The Game is simply a masterpiece, and plays like a movie with severely hard moral decisions

Revisiting this concept after playing LoL for a long time, i think her gameplay turned opposite of her design. Since its hard to find how it feels to play as her or against her im trying to summarise my thought. Irelia is a very oppressive fighter, who is good in duells (bad at teamfights). She relies her strenght early to supress her opponents and denying rescources. That leads to her having very hard times to comeback, when set behind and playing at a disadvantage. As a depicted freedom fighter that danced through wars to conquer her country back (often outnumbered), this is sounds more contrary to me. I hope this descibes the paradox she has.

In my experience, every time I get to spank her pre level 9 or so, she disappears into a sidelane actively avoiding me while q farming entire waves, picks up a shutdown on the two botlaners and all of a sudden she's nearly level 16 with 2 kills and 5 times the deaths but somehow ahead in xp and gold. And that's just the average Irelia flubbing her skillshots. To say that she's annoying to play against is understating it. So then I tried her out in ARAM where she's supposedly bad or at least below average and discovered that even if I don't know where my mouse cursor is most of the time, just throwing her buttons out in a certain cadence will lead to miraculous victories most times simply because everyone will try to hit you, you will take out 1 or 2 before you die and even if your team doesn't have any other champ that can dive, if all they do is attempt to peel the folks trying to dogpile you, the teamfights are often won on the back of you pressing qwer randomly but in a very specific beat, if you will.

Irelia is one of the game's oldest champions and this is her reworked lore. Some of the lore reworks were a big miss for me but Irelia's was sorely needed. She's thrice the character she was before. Her old lore was much more simple in almost every way. To sum it up in short, she nearly died trying to defend her home, with her late father's blade that was far too large for her, and then Soraka resurrected her from the brink of death... She rose and the sword rose with her, now moving in the air as you see the many blades do in her current iteration. Also, since she was so old, she didn't have a theme before.. This is another reason I am thankful for her reworking... This beautiful masterpiece came with it.
