For all people asking question about ouaiche, i am a french player and i read ouaiche was a defender when he was a teen, i am not sure if he was playing with long pimples or not on the backhand. i read in one of his interview that he changed his bat and rubber 4 years ago just before his first french national winning in 2014. he won the french championship in 2014 and 2016. here is mr ouaiche. on his 2015 final against mattenet he had a match point on the last set at 14 all, mattenet played a backand out, the judge gave the point to ouaiche and mattenet agreed ready to shake hand so ouaiche was the champion but he said no,he said the ball touched the edge of the table, he was the only to saw that and he told it to the judge, point was given to matennet who won the title 16 to 14 final set. at the tv slow motion replay we were able to see the ball touching the edge but only stephane saw this........this is mr ouaiche, and he is an alround player whis many different skills. actually he is trying to incorporate new skills to his game as the reverse pendulum serve ( the same than maze) that he didn't use before this year.... he is in a fighting agaisnt the french federation because he is not training himself at the official national team facilities with the official french trainer ( chila and a chinese) because his is training at villeneuve whith his team mates and his old friend coach. so he was rejected from the french team and individual selection for the international competitions. but once he will be in the top 40 he will play in the french team i thin k........sorry for my english witch is n ot my native language

He is the French Appelgren of the new era. he does not take the ball of the bounce, he rests during the game, and exhaust his opponents by keeping it in place with slow, medium spiny paces. In my humble opinion if he improves his footwork, dominates his pace better and improve his table mid distance better he will give a lot of headaches or better said migraines to many upscale players. loved the point at 8.15

Who is he? His forehand technic seems like tiago apolonia, but backhand topspin is more aggresive than tiago's. And... His chopping as a nonchopper is fantastic! Real allround player!!

You want to look for some of his French Nation Championship games, they are incredible. Even though Ouaiche is still very young [21?] he has won the French title 2 times. I got into this guy's style a few years ago, glad others are finding out about him too.

2:47 this rally had it all, could be the best of 2017. Can't imagine there will be a lot of better ones. If you prefere severe topspin-ralleys, though...

OuauuuHH great match!! I like Ouaiches´s technique and ball feeling very much. But i think he would be more "dangerous" if he plays more agressive and closer to the table. He likes allround play too much but it is spectacular too.

Exciting match!! I think Ouaiche must have been a chopper before converting to the attacking style! Freitas made too many unforced errors which cost him the match.
@reinaldopessoa26037 жыл бұрын
+inyourface has to be the other way around by the judging of his backhand in his of time he tried chopping. I don't think Marcos made that many mistakes game 4 he did what he normally does he maybe didn't account for Stephane counters to be as strong as they were. one big mistake at the last point though.
@inyourface1237 жыл бұрын
Well, I do not exactly remember who, but I read a few months ago a top attacking style player started his career as a chopper. That's why I was wondering if Ouiache is the guy, looking at his occasional chopping habits. You know old habits die hard. Regarding Freitas, I still think he makes more unforced errors for a player of his level (he was world no. 7 not too long ago). Apart from the unforced error on the last point, he also failed to kill many weak and high ball returns of his serves. Any other top 20 player would kill those returns from a lower ranked player right away with the perfect third ball attack.
@reinaldopessoa26037 жыл бұрын
inyourface you're probably right then maybe he started out a chopper, I think Marcos major mistake is he took Stephane for granted.
@reinaldopessoa26037 жыл бұрын
He definitely likes to lob a lot and I notice when playing Marcos a lot of the points he automatically back off the table.

I really like this hybrid style of defense and offense. If someone can manage to take Joo Sae-hyuk's game and add frequent attacks into it - the Chinese will struggle against it.
