Mr. President, as a patriotic Filipino, I urge you to take a firm stance in safeguarding our territorial integrity. Instead of removing the Typhoon Missile System, we should be reinforcing our defense posture and sending a clear message to the CCP and the Chinese Navy that our sovereignty is non-negotiable. Strategic Military Actions for National Defense: Fortify and Expand Missile Defense Capabilities - The Typhoon Missile System is a vital deterrent. Rather than deactivating it, we should enhance its range, accuracy, and deployment across key maritime areas, particularly in the West Philippine Sea. Deploy Advanced Surveillance and Early Warning Systems - We must integrate modern radar, satellite reconnaissance, and AI-driven threat detection to monitor Chinese naval movements and preempt any incursions. Strengthen Maritime and Aerial Patrols - Increasing the presence of the Philippine Navy and Air Force in contested waters will assert our control and deny gray-zone tactics employed by foreign adversaries. Forge Stronger Military Alliances - We must deepen defense cooperation with allies like the U.S., Japan, and Australia under mutual defense treaties to ensure a credible and swift response to threats. Mandate a Comprehensive Defense Doctrine - The government should implement a clear, long-term strategy outlining escalation responses, countermeasures, and military readiness in case of any aggression. Mr. President, China’s expansionist actions in the West Philippine Sea are a direct challenge to our sovereignty. Removing our missile systems only emboldens them. Instead, let’s send a decisive message: The Philippines is prepared, resolute, and unwilling to surrender even a single inch of its rightful territory. PBBM said this in his speech, therefore he has to stick with it. Otherwise, his credibility is the weakest point of all. Mabuhay ang Pilipinas!
