Marcos Valle is one of my favourites - but I have had an affectionate relationship with his music, since my childhood. I suggest you a look at his seventies work - his discography from 1969 (the album "Mustang cor de Sangue", when he broke up with Bossanova chains) to 1974 ("Marcos Valle" - by the way, he loves to name his albums with his own name, so you need to pay attention for the year to get the right works) are pure GOLD. Seriously.
