Otherwise, I can see Shanks using extremely potent armament haki to coat Gryphon and could probably stop Luffy because the latter's hand would be sliced in half. With current Luffy, he may be extremely powerful, but I don't see any scenario of him beating Shanks yet. He may grow more in the future or get help.
