New Slim PSVita PCH-2000 Unboxing & First Impressions

The new PSVita 2000 does not have double the battery life. It barely has a battery extra. I know because I did test it a couple times and I could sometime even barely notice the difference.

Got mine for my 10th birthday in 2014, sold it to get a switch but eventually decided to get it back, best decision ive made as I play on it more than the switch due to the smaller size for portability and the fact I play PS4, great video, made me feel very nostalgic, Even though it was only 6 year ago :)

Buttons feels good. I noticed that they do less clicking sound, specially the shoulder buttons. The plastic feel good, and not slippy.

1, I cant confirm your first question because I sold the PS Vita and forgot to test that. 2. The 1GB storage is integrated, but when you put your memory card, the 1GB becomes useless. 3. The speakers do sound slightly louder. 4. And yes it's easier to open the cartridge latch for the game card. Thanks for asking.

Problem with the old Vita was that while the screen looked very nice, the glass covered the entirety of the front of the console. One drop on the side could mean sending your Vita on a trip to Sony. I'm getting this model (FFX edition) but I will admit I prefer the old design more.

Honestly, the design of the new Vita has a PSP feel to it, making it feel old. I still love how sleek and nice my original Vita looks, not to forget that nice OLED screen.

The new screen looks a little bit different, but it saves battery and is cheaper to make so maybe they can have a price drop to sell more systems

I've had both versions. (sold the old one). The slim IMO is leaps and bounds better. Feels better, faster, bigger screen & runs A LOT better remotely to my PS4 than the old one. Just a better overall experience and barely feel it in my pocket. WELL WORTH the upgrade.

i have some questions please, im a proud owner of a white old ps vita, and i might switch to this one for few reasons, but i wann abe sure i'm right first. 1 st question , now that a micro usb is on it, can it charge on a mac or pc while ON ( the old oen can only charge if completly shut down ) 2nd. the 1 gb memory is integrated or is it a memory card ?? 3rd did u make real commparason with sound , is it really louder on this model ? 4th it seems easier to open the latch for cartdrige? right?

This version looks cheaper and if you care about graphics you would get a better experience from the first version but in honestly if feels like you have to be really careful with the first one and I'm almost scared of taking every where because the whole front of it is glass were this one you could put in your pocket and not worrying about it getting scratched so I might get this if I find it for really cheap but I'm definitely not selling my first one

If you care about it in the back touchpad that makes sense. But when I had a vita (Needed money and selling it got me decent food money for two months at the time) I had the Horei face guard and some standard touch screen protection. The face guard made sure it was fine in my pocket and anything that got past them from normal use was caught by the screen protector. the original vita however is rather heavy for a kid to keep on them or a guy with lose pants so hopefully this will allow even girls to carry it around.

I did some research and I think it will be the same as how the first ps vita was released. Released in Japan in December first. 2 moths later the whole world. New ps vita September. Wait for 2 months. December yeah boyyyyyyeeeeeee getting this for Christmas. I will actually prefer the ps3 over ps4. Just buy ten games for 100$ from cash converters and you've made a whole year of gaming :)

The new one will not get the hidden features released in the future involving the top port. And the slim might have slimmed the processor speed i noticed no ad.
