I had the same thing happen with chain lubricant this summer - emptying itself all inside the pannier - on the upside the tools also in there like adjustable spanners etc worked really smoothly afterwards!!

Nice video thanks. Well normal people don't camp with a tent in winter in Germany and France 😜😂😂👍👍 So always separate sensitive parts like brake pads and chain lubricant or oil when packing. Glad I found this channel, great to see an old 650 air cooled single doing the business across Europe. I am planning to ship my DR650 from Australia in 2022 and do some back road discovery, I hate motorways and worked on the theory of the big single would be just fine on the back roads. I get a bit bored with watching guys on KZbin with litre plus bikes banging down motorways trying to do high kilometres trying to get somewhere and not see anything of where they have been. 👍👍👍👍👍👍

Another lesson I learnt the hard way this summer was to dismount the bike from the right hand side once the kickstand was down, so that when your leg gets caught on the panniers/topbox it doesn't pull the bike over on top of you! Yeah... that hurt...!

Brake pads soaked in oil? Shampoo them, then 15 minute rolling boil in an old tin can. Has worked for me several times, no issues.

I've done 93000km and my Honda CB500X is a 2013 model. I couldn't camp in those temps, I was away last Tuesday in our campervan and had to switch the diesel heater on as it was zero degrees celsius outside. Belgium is also famous for its great chocolate and beer. Safe travels. ☘👍

New sub. You're really doing it!! I took a trip to Belgium some years ago and visited Brussels, Antwerp, and Ghent. It was beautiful and a lot of history. I think you should make an effort to stop in Belgium for a few days at some point in time. Keep it up and great videos!
